I agree to an extent, foreign aid is a fantastic thing and something that shouldn't be cut, but there should be stricter regulations imposed on what that aid can actually be spent on. Maybe just give it straight to the aid organisations that operate in those countries as opposed to the centralised government who are more likely to spunk it. As for Mr Bloom, I think he's watched too many Boris Johnson interviews and thinks he can get away with the same thing. Can't use racially sensitive words until you have fluffy hair like Boris - as far as the public are concerned anyway.

I don't think the blame for neglecting players from smaller clubs is entirely on Hodgson, the FA are obsessed with the idea of the England squad being "elite" and that to them basically means only picking players from clubs in the Top 6. FWIW i've never been a really active member of the Rickie For England club, but with all the turmoil surrounding Rooney at the moment with his personal issues and the fact that a lot of strikers that would've had places in the squad are currently injured then I think it would be good to see a few players like Rickie get selected. I'd have Rickie and Gary Hooper in there for a start. Who knows, might give a few of the billy big b*llocks strikers that are milling along in the England team the kick up the ar5e they need to stake their claim?

If the process can be refined in terms of cost-effectiveness and expanded to an industrial scale then I think it could be absolutely revolutionary. There is a little nagging voice expressing doubts about the "meat", however with all the sh!t that people eat on a daily basis in stuff like sausages, burgers etc then it's not that different. If I was offered it to try I would definitely go for it.

And people say that Damiao's goalscoring record is only good because of the bad defenders he's up against - shocking defending in that video! Lost count of the amount of free headers Sow put in there. Looks like a decent player though, good movement and finishing and looks a strong lad as well. If we can get him for the right price then he'd be a very good acquisition.

Seems that Quagliarella and Matri are the ones that they want to shift, but with the right money they'd be prepared to part with Giovinco or Vucinic instead. Personally I would love Giovinco here, think he's the kind of player that would fit in really well with our style of play. Incredibly quick, very tricky and a good finisher. Equally adept playing out wide as well. Can't help but think that if he was to leave Juve then it would be for a Top 4/6 club, however if Mr Cortese can work his magic on him then I would be delighted to have him here!

Peter Capaldi will be great. Lets just hope that the writing improves this series...

You can tell that he didn't play RB from an early age, but he'll adjust to the position more with time. Only been playing there for a few years. Looks great going forward, slightly suspect defensively but has the right attributes to be a good RB. As cover for Clyne i'm not 100% sure, he'd probably benefit more from a year on loan at a Championship team than sitting on the bench for us.
