  1. Its not good enough - playing for a 0 0 at home! We are so catious and defensive - yes we have a pile of crap up front but we actually look threatening when playing with pace. This dull, lethargic style of play just makes me want to weep.
  2. 1 shot on target all game. This team and this manager is a f****** disgrace. How Nathan f***** Redmond starts for us I'll never know
  3. PUEL OUT! Awful tactics, no passion, no drive - just awful.
  4. My god, this is utter, utter s***e. Have we forgotten how to run, how to play with passion and actually try to entertain/win games. This style of football makes me want to puke - absolutely F*****g awful stuff. Slow, ponderous and no threat up front at all. Redmonds 'shot' just about sums Saints up for me these days.....
  5. Congrats to Sam - sounds like you are related and, if you are, without knowing Sam he comes across as a credit to his family, Saints and himself. Sometimes in life, things taste so much sweeter when they are unexpected or when you think they are never going to happen. Full credit to everyone and looking forward to seeing Sam continue his progress at a club where he will be well looked after. He must be pinching himself to gave made his full debut at the San Siro!
  6. Yoshi has been better than Fonte this season and I really don't think it would be the end of the world if he moved on. Greedy ****. At 33 his best days are behind and if he won;t take 80K a week he can do one.
  7. Yep, memory playing tricks with me! I remember the whole away end going completely mental and a mass bundle/surge when Monkou scored and we made the front page of the Echo with the photo they took of the crowd celebrating/going mental. What a game - when we were losing 3-1 and looked done relegation would have been all but assured but that mental game gave us the belief to go on and stay up somehow. And yet today, we have huge amounts of posters whinging because we don't win any game. Back in the 90s, out style of play was poor, results were terrible but (Branfoot aside) I don't remember any mass grumblings over where we were, etc.
  8. Happy days....really fond memories of the 5-4 win up at Carrow Road with the MLT hattrick after being down and out and Ken Monkous goal to start the fightback. Great escape year and was a local game before me just before leaving the Air Force.
  9. What a toothless, pathetic display from this side. We so badly need a striker and JWP has been abysmal....but he is not alone there.
  10. For me, a pretty strange season so far. If we are able to get 2 more results in the next week then we will be knock out stages of Europa, semis of League Cup and pushing for a top 8 finish again. If anyone had offered this in the summer I think everyone would have been over the moon. Puel is impressing but it has been strange. At times our football has been sublime - and at other times atrocious (Hull and Sparta spring to mind!). I think everyone would agree we are lightweight up front with Long and Rodriguez absolutely useless so far. For me the highlight is Puel having faith in playing the younger players and giving them a chance. I think it is no coincidence that their enthusiasm rubs off on the rest of the team. Still plenty of twists and turns to come I'm sure but so far Puel has impressed and the way he has the whole squad involved is pretty miraculous and seems to have everyone working together. Would be really interested to hear of Guan or any of the ITKs have any updates on what the mood in the camp is, what they really think of Puel, etc.
  11. Very strong depth in numbers - particularly with some of the younger players starting to shine and complete for places. Definitely think we are weaker in terms of up front - we are struggling badly in that area - but stronger everywhere else.
  12. We will lose if Cuco the Clown starts. The guy is awful. Really hope Sims and Reed get a chance to play. Not sure where the goals will come from assuming Austin does not play.
  13. 100% agree with VfTT......please don't play Martina (ever again). How he is a pro footballer when he can't defend and can't cross a ball under no pressure is beyond me. I would much rather have Yoshi at RB than Martina. Would hope that Cedric can play 2 games a week as he had a lengthy spell out. Be interesting to see who he goes up top with - Long/Rodriguez (who are both in woeful form) or Olamula?
  14. That is an insult to Telfer who was solid. Cuco the CLown on the other hand.........he is just a p*** poor player who should not be anywhere near the 1st team. Just don't see where goals are coming from. Writing was on the wall against Hull.....ponderous, slow no attacking threat and it has steadily got worse from there. McQueen was good 1st half and that was about it. The rest were awful.....poor Austin: zero service and we are not even creating chances to miss any more. Puel has some serious soul searching to do and a lot to put right.
  15. Sort it out Puel - these performances are simply not good enough. F*****g s***e and I would rather Yoshi at RB than the abomination that is Cuco the Clown.
  16. OMG - that must be just about the worst peice of play I have ever seen from a professional player. Take a bow you useless c**t Martina.
  17. Really has been very, very poor with zero creativity or cutting edge and we even look shaky defensively now. Worrying times - if you can't score you are not going to do well in many games and we never look like scoring. Shane Long has reverted to type (****e), Jay is a shadow and Austin has zero service and needs 3 or 4 chances to score one. Redmond - totally anonymous and no drive or flair in midfield. Simply put, we are currently an awful, awful team to watch.
  18. This is painful to watch.....we have not had a single shot in the 2nd half and don't look like having one
  19. Sorry, but no-one can be happy with this lacklustre performance. We simply have no movement in midfield and it is so slow and ponderour and never looks threatening. I just don't get it - we were so dynamic a few weeks back and now we are just terrible.
  20. We so desperately need a striker in the January window. Without one, we could well be in a relegation dogfight as there is almost zero threat up front from us.
  21. How the f**k is Martina a professional footballer?
  22. Well, that was ****e. Utter ****e. We just never look like scoring and our fluidity of earlier this season is but a distant memory. Shane Long has been absolutely terrible as have the midfield 3 of Hojberg, Clasie and JWP. Our build up is so slow, delivery into the box shocking and our forwards look like they could play for the next month and not come close to scoring. Worrying times and Puel needs to start earning his money now. This is simplynot good enough.
  23. Absolute f******* sh***. Martina should not be anywhere near the first team: total liability. This now means we need to score and, as ever, this looks highly unlikely with our ponderous play and lack of quality up front.
  24. Hi Winner - yeah, spooky., I was looking at Zwift Strava segments and seeing how we were close to being 'twinnies'!!!! I also experienced a drop in resistance on the Watopia mountains yesterday after the FTP test (which nearly killed me!!!!) Like you, I think the Kikr underestimates the power. I did a challenging hill round my way at the weekend and it seemed much easier after a couple of sessions with the Kikr. On my dumb trainer it had me pushing out 4 Watts per Kg and now with the smart trainer it is around 2 To be honest, I am trying hard not to be too anal about the whole thing as, at the end of the day, I do this out of enjoyment rather than trying to be a racer. Approaching 50 that ain't ever going to happen! However, it is still nice to be able to outpace younger riders and to feel good outlasting many folks on the mountains and hills!!!! I certainly found out West that although not being quick on the mountains keeping it nice and steady I would overtake many folks that went out hard and had to keep stopping to regroup and recover. The tortoise and the hare spring to mind.........
  25. What a difference a smart trainer makes. On my dumb trainer FTP exercises claimed I had an FTP of around 300 (I wish!) but when I did it today, 181....way, way harder and much more realistic. Unfortunately power to weight hovers around 2 and don;t know how to improve that.
