Off topic but ****ing horrible the way they've gone about that, some people finding out by having their Twitter accounts locked down and not being able to log in, only to be told when they get in they're gone. Back to the matter in hand, good luck Gordy. Absolute gent and a damn fine journalist too boot. Hope it goes well for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was lucky enough to see all of his career at saints. Great player and like the poster before said, that Nicholl side was a thing of beauty, basically four up front and ripping some damn good sides to pieces (Liverpool 4-1 anyone?). Outside of the promotion years I'd say it was my favourite trike supporting saints. Shearer, le tiss, Wallace, Wallace, Timmy, Jimmy case, Armstrong etc. Plus the dell was still terraced (and cheap). I would say the reason not to do it is probably a purely financial reason. The cost of a fully integrated E-Com and broucherware platform (including strategies for each area) at an agency of the size of Sapient is likely to be north of £5-10m (if not more). In doing an umbrella agreement between clubs that cost will be substantially lowered for each team. Sapient are actually part of the umbrella network that owns the agency i work for, and i did hear that that agreement was up for tender again relatively soon, but it's normally very unlikely that an agency of record will lose their client unless there's serious complaints against them. Something which takes years to build up. My guess will be we will have that site for a few years to come to be honest.
-
Quite simply that won't happen as a "bespoke" product for saints, the agreement for the site (along with all the others in the group) sits with the agency Sapient in London. All of the club sites (including e-com) are on a single platform that's updated in a feature manor and rolled out to each of them. Saints actually have very little control over features that are added or going to be released in the coming future, and i'd hazard a guess they're not hugely privy to the road map either as it's done at a top level, not at a partner level. What Saints do have control of, and are doing very well is their social and above the line marketing, infact i'd argue they're probably one of the best in any league in England at that.

So i count myself as European, can see the benefit of immigration and know full well the benefits of EU membership to business and employment in this country. I've never understood anti immigration or europe sentiment from people from Southampton, we're a dock town that wouldn't exist without both and our long history and culture is made up from our trade with France and acceptance of immigrants from the entire world to help us achieve it. Anyway this is the last of my three posts so i won't be able to bicker with you like some, plus i fundamentally don't see the point as you won't change your ideas/beliefs due to the internet and i most probably won't change mine. Instead we can both go out and vote our preferred way without any need to resort to name calling like a bunch of five year olds.
-
Why? I have a parent that's an immigrant from Europe and the global company i work for has it's head office in Paris.
-
In because it'd destroy our economy to leave, immigration is a positive (all though not sold like that in the media) and i count myself as European.

The idea that keepers have to make "worldy" saves to be good is utter rubbish, anyone that saw Shilts play would know that a good keeper can look like they're doing nothing but simple things all game. This is because a truly great keeper is all about positioning, if you're pulling off wonder saves all the time then i'd argue you're out of position too much. The dramatic saves should always be an exception to the rule as a truly great keeper will hugely limit the amount they need to make by reading the game well and organising his defence properly.

haha of course mate, bowling around unchallenged

That's seriously strange behaviour. So you're saying you travelled further to watch a match based on a computer game than you did on the team you support? Personally i'd argue there's something very odd about that.

I keep an eye on the sholing and eastleigh results as local non league teams. It's nice to see them do well, in the same way I like to see the cherries do well. But I don't support anyone apart from saints (well maybe the team that are playing Pompey) Personally I don't get having a second club on the whole, especially not the follow a big club thing some people do. Funny thing is I've meant plenty of the lads on this thread calling this nipper (and the mess in the hat) a din in real life, and nearly all of them have done it from league one and before and are happy to make a decent racket. The fact is this is standard modern fan crap, robbed from some Barnsley fans putting a plant pot on someone's head. None of us have a problem with people wanting to stand and be vocal. In fact I'd hazard a guess none of us have a problem with the folks from the chapel that've done it for years and now want to sit either (they've got my respect at least for being there when it mattered and football wasn't a fashion). The issue is nippers acting like soppy *****s and thinking they're hilarious. It's like the cringeworthy lot at palace, if instead of playing dress up or this stuff you just got behind the team then it'd be a lot better. Mind you as someone said earlier I'm sure you wouldn't be able to share that ok whatever social media you think is important, and instead would have to deal with real life Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Always strikes me as the kind of "wacky" fan the skates have and use to pride themselves how passionate they are. To everyone else he's a ****ing social case that probably hasn't been near the opposite sex without a restraining order in years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He was at midtjylland trying to be pally with everyone. Absolute cock of the highest order. Really wish people like him would **** off and support someone else and leave us alone, same as that fat bloke that was on match of the day and thought he was he was some kind of wacky star Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Still waiting on mine too, guess they haven't been posted out yet.

It's an old Portsmyth that was touted as a truth for years after a pre season friendly game where the pre match warm up person left their microphone on and it picked up the noise from the Northam. In the heads of the deluded blue few this became "SCAMMERS PIPE CROWD NOISE IN". Only people i've ever seen mention it are that weird breed with a family trunk down in Pompey.
-
I've been at every away this season with the exception of Newcastle as i couldn't afford it having just done Vitesse. For what it's worth i'd say our away support has been seriously declining since promotion in terms of noise, but the weird thing is i see many of the same faces i did in the Championship and League One at games still. What i do notice now is that people tend to "sit" in their own seats a lot more, with the exception of a few games last season most people get their ticket and then head where they have on the ticket, in league one and the championship people would just rock up and take the one they fancied (same thing happened at Vitesse too) which meant you got larger groups of like minded people standing together, often at the back. Personally what i find really strange is that i've been at a few aways in the premier league where there are people at the back who want to sit and people at the front that want to stand, and the people who want sit are generally (but not always) quieter and often moan at people for standing. To be it'd make a lot more sense if you're a sitter and have a ticket up the back of stands to just go to the front and let those that want to stand stand. I'm hoping Chelsea will be sightly better though as for once we've been able to choose our tickets and i'd assuming the sit down folks will have done the thing of taking the ones not at the back of the stand so those like us that want to can go there and make some noise.
-
I live in London. The cost of this ticket is about the same as it costs me to go to each home game with a season ticket. Equally I'm disgusted I'm helping clubs charge that kind of money for a game of football, but as Steve grant said elsewhere I know I'm part of the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's why i thought the Scousers protest of buying kids tickets (so as not to lose too much money) then turning up and protesting outside the game at Hull was a great technique. Particularly for a live game as you can then go and watch it on TV close by.

One of the few grounds in the prem I've not been to this (not sure why either) so looking forward to ticking it off. Having a feeling this will be a tough niggly game so would play wanyama, Romeu and JWP in the middle with Tadic left and mane right. Rest of the team pretty much picks itself (assuming VVD goes straight in). Be happy enough with a point to be honest but I think west brom might be there for the taking after the transfer window upheaval Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The problem for MLG is as soon as conversations move away from stats and into actual football he's shown up time and again as being completely clueless. I can't help but think he'd be better off taking up a hobby like train spotting or competitive sudoku, something more fitting to a person like him than a sport.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
ericb replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
Ah damn well in that case can i be the first to say that he's a greedy ***** that's only looking for a move to Spurs/Liverpool/Man U/ Arsenal/City/Chelsea* and that he was never as good as Yoshida in the first place then. *delete depending on which of these clubs comes in for him. -

Can i be the first one to write him off and say he's not as good as our signings last season, and the league he's come from is mickey mouse, oh yeah and we've paid too much for him, and he's not as good as Paul Telfer. -
Maybe it's time to finally resurrect the Terry Hurlock chant? Ohhh Oriol Romeu Ohhh Oriol Romeu
