Now getting loads of invisible pop ups for wack investment schemes etc- can't see a window, but get the audio. No wonder my laptop is behaving like a dog. This is the kind of stuff you get on film sites. If I wanted that kind of content, I'd put up with the ropey ads. Baj - are you addressing this, or is it just the way things are on Saintsweb?
-
I'm getting ad redirects now on my android browser, when I didn't before.
-
Could be Iceland or Hungary or Austria - not a bad result tbh
-
Bertrand's just not being given the ball, but looks ok to me. Clyne's left back is slow and pants.
-
I like him as well, but I thought he wasn't playing when I listened to the commentary on the way home - never mentioned!
-
Alan Brazil's co-host threw tim Sherwood in this morning. Interview with Kevin Phillips offered no insight. No mention of fans at all.
-
Davis is playing for NI - not doing much as it's about 95% NI defence at the moment.

Got any views about shockwave (on windowss pc) , Baj? Is that a different issue to the re-direct thing?

Pleased so far. Why isn't Kane on the end of his own kicks? Slacker.

When RK says 'seeing out his contract', he means 'I'm going off next year'. As has been said a brazillion times, the club management might have forcefully said they wanted that time period extended , the answer to which is 'I will see out my contract'. Also said a gazillion times, club managers are basically 2 year consultancy appointments. So, we hope our club can ensure continuity between appointments. Ref Mourinho, Warnock.

Nice idea, but could turn to carnage if there was a needle in the match. Which there isn't here. Well done to Kane, hardly needed to make a meal of what was a Golbern style challenge.

I asked about this on another forum (shockwave crashed, debug script etc) - thought it was a Shockwave problem, but I tend to have SWF open most of the time. Unistalled Shockwave, problem finished, just can't play videos on BBC, unless I install it, watch the vid and then uninstall it.

Take your point about Europa being a drag. We've got a chance to learn from that. Also I agree that we took advantage of winning games against teams with other priorities at the end of the season - if we hadn't had done, it would have been a very mediocre finish. Reminds me, I think, of 83 where we collected a few points against teams in flip flops when Liverpool where uncatchable. Ended up second I think, which is obviously not as good as 6th :-)

Anyone know why Kelvin has chosen Liver and Pancreatic research in particular as the charity? Just curious.

The best teams in the world would have zero wins coming from behind. Fact.

Romeu is prepared to make quick, forward passes. Sometimes with Claise, and the rest of the midfield, I want to bite my head off with the constant Ray Wilkins play. I've seen Clasie play short balls to Vic, somehow expecting him to develop play, but that never happens. Why can't he demand the one-two with him, or just bring it forward. Having said that, commentators often confuse Davis and Clasie, and I do too. None of them are bad, but I think Romeu is the most likely to create something.

I love Long, but it's interesting to consider his upbringing in gaelic football etc, where I suppose he didn't play a lot of soccer as such. He's an immense athlete, and gets clattered every game because of his bravery- punctured lung etc. He favours the dinked or side foot finish (or the head of course) - I can't recall many, if any, boot lace screamers which again suggests his comfortableness when controlling and kicking the ball is undeveloped. Just wish he could somehow work on his ball control, maybe it can't be changed at his relatively advanced age.

Well, crap defending means our GD is worse than Liverpool if it comes to it.

I'd take half and keep the other half in for 15k now and another 50 if they win. Can that be done?
-
Verge. I fell in love with him first game. Very few mistakes, I'm not sure if anyone could have stopped Chelsea's second. Apart from that, totally reliable in the air, confident on the ball with good distribution. Class all over and we'll be lucky to keep hold of him.

Southampton vs Chelsea Post Match Throw away
tpbury replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
My tuppunce. For the second, Bertrand (I think) momentarily peeled off to whinge at the ref or someone, rather than playing to the whistle. He could have got that little closer to the ball, but Costa had plenty of time as a result. I also think that Forster could have taken out player and ball as it came in, rather than trying to cover both sides of the goal, albeit he has long arms. -
Think I may go for a long walk - can't take the tension of 2nd half.
