talking of which I wonder how storrie is getting on at his job in the ministry of funny excuses?
-
A savage winding up order has eaten my best lawyers, get me the holy handgrenade! Alas I am afraid I cannot sire, its been repossessed.
-
And Jacobs crossing the bridge.. "What.... is your name?" Mark Jacobs "What.. is your favourite strip colour?" Blue! no.. White! Aarrggh........
-
Maybe there should be a bucket collection to pay the hire fees for the channel island kids training place that pompey renegaded on? Long as they then drop the association with pompey obviously!
-
doh! is the answer -60 million, or was that for a different question?
-
Can I have a minute, I am sure the answer will come to me soon....

Problem for the PL/FA is the winding up order is beginning to snow ball as other people owed money add their name to it. They may be able to do what they can to keep pompey going on the football side but can't see them stumping up 10 to 20 million and if they did their would be ourcry from the teams around them.

Dindane's move to Birmingham is off but can't see him going back to Pompey unless they pay Lens up front? http://www.clubcall.com/birmingham-city/dindane-deal-hits-buffers-1014531.html

Ah, back to the usual comical pompey http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/154780/Portsmouth-and-Tottenham-sign-deal-behind-Avram-Grant-s-back Most of the outfield squad tried to lift their spirits by taking time out from training yesterday to go go-karting with money collected from player fines. But when they return today, they will have nowhere to store their training equipment after Portsmouth failed to pay for the storage container it is kept in.

Also interesting that spuds are still claiming the deal in not yet done. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11675_5893773,00.html

Your probably right. Just odd the change from him to storrie being the voice of pompey, especially the way storrie is now playing it.
-
Is he running things? Has anyone heard of him doing anything in the last week or so? A few weeks back the media was full of quotes from him but can't remember seeing any from the last week only ones from storrie. Also he should have been able to sign the forms that they had to get Storrie to sign so why wheel in Storrie to do it if he was around?
-
I think its obviously a toss up between getting him now for below what he is worth compared to having to fight it out later with other possible bidders. Remember if they do become free agents after the transfer window has closed they may have a number of desperate clubs come calling.
-
It was stated somewhere that the money with the PL was down to 1.6M but that the PL also withheld the money for a couple of transfer instalments due about now so I would guess they got 1M at most in the end.
-
Probably, but he appears to have drifted into the background a bit doesn't he? When was the last time he made any sort of official statement?
-
I assume that Azougy does the negotiating then wheels in storrie to sign on the bottom line.
-
Interesting to see they can pull their finger out when they are getting players in on loan but when it comes to the paperwork for Nugents loan (one assumes they are paying at least part of his wages still) there is no one in.

I does rather look like the front has been designed as a tribute to baron von Richthofen's triplane.

O'hara has rejoined them on loan if you believe his WAG's possible NSFW twitter page!? http://twitter.com/MissDLloyd

He may (or may not) pass the fit and proper (ha ha) test but the point is he is doing the job of a director without officially being appointed as one and having to pass the test. Its like trying to persuade the police to let you off driving without a licence by telling them that there is obviously no reason why you would fail the test.

Going back to this rallyboy's post earlier. From an article in the telegraph a few days ago... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/6875439/Portsmouth-secretly-begin-to-offload-players-as-debt-crisis-mounts.html In a separate development the Premier League is also seeking urgent clarification of the role of Daniel Azougy, a lawyer reported to have multiple fraud convictions in Israel, who is now in charge of Portsmouth's finances. Azougy was brought into the club by new owner Ali Al-Faraj and has taken over day-to-day control of the club's finances from finance director and board member Tanya Robbins. As Azougy is not a director he is not subject to the Premier League's fit-and-proper persons test, but the league has written to Portsmouth seeking clarification that Azougy is not operating as a "shadow director" in breach of their regulations. Azougy was banned from the Israeli Bar Association for 14 years in 2002 after being convicted of four counts of fraud and obstructing the course of justice. In March this year he was convicted in the Tel Aviv District Court of presenting false documents to the Israel Securities Association regarding the sale of his stake in a public company in 1999. Unless everyone at the PL required a guide dog and/or a white stick it should be fairly plain to them now that he is acting as a shadow director.
