Nah, it was hardly a push. It looks like it because Terry puts a hand out to Hooiveld just as he looses his footing and goes sliding. Very unfortunate for Jos who had a good game in fairness. He's improved a lot since Pochettino has come in. Despite wanting Fonte to start yesterday I do think Hooiveld has had some decent games of late.

I was more comfortable than I have been in previous years or perhaps earlier in the season, the whole defence has improved, but I was still concerned when one of Chelsea's class players got on the ball as they are capable of beating any defenders in the World. Yeah but I basically alluded to that very point in my post. Whether that is true or not - which it may well be - it still bears no influence on the question is Gaston a good player? I think some people (not you necessarily) can't separate the two. So simply because Gaston's arrival potentially stopped other signings that means he's crap and it wasn't worth signing him, whereas I do believe we've signed a very good player, despite the other factors which are often argued about.

I'm sure I read that Morgan had a very high number of tackles this season? One of the highest in the League? Could be wrong. He's not as aggressive as the other (world class) players that you mentioned, but he certainly makes plenty of tackles and interceptions.

It's strange that the Ramirez bashers use the fact that we didn't cover in other areas as to reasons why he is rubbish. It's not his fault we didn't sign more central defenders/cover at left back etc which I completely agree that we needed to do. The fact that we didn't improve the whole team and only bought one expensive flair player is irrelevant when discussing Ramirez's ability, which, at times has been disappointing away from home, but at others has been fantastic. So my view is that I'm glad we bought him as he has shown flashes of brilliance and is getting better and better. Should we have bought other players in the windows? IMO yes. Am I glad we signed Ramirez/Do I think he is a good player? IMO yes. Two separate questions.

There have been quite a few to be fair. Still quality player though. He should have done better by getting back to attempt a challenge for Liverpool's goal last week. When the ball got cleared by Rodriquez (I think it was) he got caught wandering up field, then when the ball was hit back in quickly he wasn't in position to try to challenge for the ball from Sturridge and one other. Not saying he definitely would have stopped the goal but could've made it harder for the player to get that first shot away which deflected into Coutinho's path. Making mistakes now and then, but would have him over Fabio any day.

Wow, that took me a few minutes to realise why you'd asked that question. Then it hit me, if a player has no assists it means he can't cross right? I probably agree with you that they can both improve their games in respect to crossing the ball to some extent, but they've proven this season that they've got pretty decent crossing ability already. Just because strikers fail to score from the chances they create it doesn't mean they can't cross.
