Beatts obviously has a lot of affection for Southampton and the way he celebrates for other teams against Pompey gives him close to legend status alone. Of course he'd be a good signing, because he's a good player, but I'm not quite sure how he'd fit in with a certain Mr Lambert in the team. I'll always have a lot of good things to say about James Beattie, he was class for us.

This forum is going to be much more important to me this year now I'm away more, so I can only pray that the problems from last season don't reoccur this. I'd be interested to know how many hundreds or thousands this forum pays for the rights to print the fixtures? I know it's a lot, surely that could be spent on improving the server as having the fixtures is totally unnecessary for a forum. I've even suggested in the past getting rid of all other Saints Web pages and just keeping the forum. Transfers? Injuries? News stories? Wasted space.

If it aint broke... He's class where he is, I'm more than happy with him on the wing. That's the place where he can best show off his dribbling and close control. On the wing he can make all sorts of defenders look foolish, twisting and turning then putting a cross on a plate for Rickie LambBhuna.

Nice, I agree with everyone else that we don't need the badge. Makes it look a little amateurish otherwise. We know we're Saints. As we're planning on keeping this flag and taking it for years to come (we are, aren't we?) I also think that removing the "Thank you" would be a good idea... I think we need to take a leaf out of Liverpools book and remember that the simpler the better. Had a quick play with the one above...

I agree that the crest and the words Southampton Football Club are unnecessary, and please let's make sure we spell Liebherr correctly! I personally think this effort by Crab Lungs is very good, but CL could you remove the crest and the current writing and just put the words "WE SHALL NEVER FORGET" or "NEVER FORGOTTEN". See how that looks. Good effort people.
