This is the most surprising thing. You could tell early on that the entire team was off the pace. Quite odd how it works out like that, where it's not just one or two players playing poorly but every single one. Coming off the back of a decent run of results make it even more surprising. Losing Cedric we are clearly weaker in terms of quality. The rest leaves us weaker in terms of cover and depth. We did need to trim the squad though so not the end of the world. Cedric leaving is not good though. If we don't replace him. Should we get Maehle in pronto then that's great, but to leave Ramsay as our only RB cover would be a very poor decision.

Would personally rather they stayed home and practiced in conditions they're likely to face here in England. Toughen them up a bit. Never really understood why teams would go through the hassle and stress of traveling miles away to Dubai in what must feel a little bit like a holiday, when they could just go to the Cotswolds if they want to increase team bonding. Anyone else just relieved to be enjoying watching Saints again? Under the last 3 managers I've been dreading all games, and been dreadfully bored throughout them all. Ralph has transformed everything.

Wolves played well, but you've really got to hand it to Puel. The way he gets superb squads playing so badly takes some real doing. Fascinating character, fascinating how he keeps getting top jobs. Thank f**k he's not our problem to worry about any more.

Lovers of football will not be happy to see that goal disallowed. Go and watch some cricket and you'll see what we're talking about with the "umpires call" or "referees call". VAR should be used to howlers, not when a player MIGHT be offside by a hair width. VAR can improve football, but not like that. That was f**king ridiculous.
