  1. Utterly fucking inept
  2. Yep. I like Armstrong, different type of player, but Broja gives us so much more.
  3. Just as my bloody steam went down 🤣
  4. Can’t get any of the posted streams to work, any others much appreciated! edit. Scratch that, we’re off!
  5. A shame England didn’t make more of a push to involve Michael Antonio. When he’s on it he’s an absolute beast. Jarrod Bowen is a livewire.
  6. Yep, I think that side pretty much picks itself. Interesting to see how our 4 at the back matches up against their 3/5.
  7. I still very much like him. He has errors in him but he’s done more than enough with this bunch for me to want him to stay. Would love to see what he could do with a little bit of proper backing but we’re skint so meh. I’d say he’s about our level, and we’re his.
  8. The line up against Liverpool was obviously a terrible strategy. Ralph admitted it, pundits watching the game called it as a bad setup in real time, Saints fans watching called it pre game and early on. Poor strategy, and very much the wrong one. The Diallo injury obviously put plans into chaos, Ralph was going to start him, I assume alongside JWP and Romeu. Whether that was planned to be with a back 3/5 or the normal 4, don’t know, I’m assuming Ralph wanted 3 CBs and three CMs. The error came when Diallo was deemed out injured, Ralph went with one extra striker to make up tge 11. Not much other choice with what we had on the bench to beef up midfield (Smallbone the only genuine CM and no game time behind him), but the 3 up top basically played right into Liverpool’s hands. Fair play, Ralph recognised his strategic error, changed it, and admitted his mistake after the game. It’s just about unanimous that it was an error. Hindsight tells us we looked more solid in a regular shape, but playing 3 (effectively) strikers was the biggest flaw of the formation imo. We were gonna get whacked anyway. Everyone knows that. Just tough watching seeing us line up so gapingly open.
  9. He was going to disallow it. Definitely. He was standing over the ball waiting for de Gea to finally get up and play on. It was only after getting comms in his ear that he gave the goal.
  10. You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With MLG it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.
  11. Yet another game where questions are asked about McCarthy in goal, but I’d be amazed if Forster gets given a chance until the Fa Cup.
  12. ‘Luckily’ run by people like him.
  13. Objective facts like a manager saying “I got it wrong” but deciding that he didn’t….. Yes, I “reckon” that’s easier.
  14. Can you imagine the stattos all sat together? Christ, a bunch of MLG and TWar types all sat amongst a collection of like minded souls making each other’s heads explode by trying to outdo each other in who can be the most pompously correct and never wrong about anything. They’d be the first group to start with the fists flying IMO, recipe for disaster.
  15. 🤣 I still remember how bizarre that was even now. Wigley saying “ no no, I really am in charge. I’ve been given the job, honestly”.
  16. This. McCarthy should be nothing more than a backup keeper at this level. Forster is somewhat error prone and has his faults but is a much more reliable keeper than McCarthy. Neither of them is an ideal long term solution but Forster in the short term should be a no brainer. I get the feeling Forster not being played is financial/contractual rather than that Ralph sees AMc as the better option.
  17. Koeman has just had a 10m euro payoff, for an already wealthy man I can’t see him doing anything other than a project he really wants. Saints isn’t that, imo.
  18. The club isn’t skint, it just has to spend within its means. IIRC Ralph is on a pretty decent financial package. I’m very much in the camp for keeping Ralph, but given the salary I think it’s not unreasonable to suggest that we couldn’t attract some relatively decent names if a change was made (I hope we don’t, Ralph has his flaws but I don’t see many others getting a significantly better tune out of this squad).
  19. “Luckily the club is run by people like me” 🤣 Wow.
  20. Ok, go on, which part of the film ages it?!
  21. I reckon Ralph was planning on 5-3-2 as he said he had to reshuffle because ‘Ibra’ got injured and couldn’t play.
  22. I hope poor old Justin has calmed down by now, the silly little sausage. He’s just far too angry than is necessary.
  23. Still remember him whacking in a long ranger against us at the Dell, it absolutely flew in. Such a sad story, RIP. Great reaction from the Leeds fans.
  24. You’re brave booking. 2021 looks almost certain to be the first calendar year I’ve done zero days of skiing since 1999, which is a stretch I’m disappointed won’t continue. But I’m not looking to do anything next season either as there’s just too many unknowns. Austria in lockdown is not a good look, and the ski forum I look in on has slightly worrying tales about lift restrictions, on-slope/on-lift mask requirements, and other general resort number minimalism (goodness knows what the apres scene will look like). Good luck to you 🤞
