Tbf I can see why that City one was given. The Maguire stamp, less so.

Quite enjoyed the “he’s gonna cry in a minute chant” that went up for Fernandes when he was having a major whinge about the Pogba foul on Livramento.

The Minsk Memorial Thread (and continuation of his work)

RIP Minsk, one of the original brigade from the early days. -
Got us out of some sticky situations.

Slightly harsh to criticise him for Sancho’s goal when he was sat on the bench at the time.
-
Very glad his performances are on the up. As recently as the Swansea game I expressed reservations about him, I thought he was poor again that night. He’s definitely going in the right direction though and has been very impressive in the past few games. Long may it continue, it’s obviously much nicer to have a proper lefty playing at left back.
-
Initially I thought it was right in the corner, but it wasn’t. That said, I thought the best thing about the save was not just stopping the goal but doing so well to scoop it well away to safety, perhaps why it ended up looking so dramatic.

Just like to point out that Saints’ entire first XI today cost almost exactly the same as Paul Pogba. United had 2 players who came through their youth system (McTominay and Rashford). They had 8 players who all cost more than our record signing. And Cristiano Ronaldo.

Great save from Fraser to give us what we deserved. 4 points from the past two games when I full expected none. Ralph has got them so well drilled.
-
Hojberg couldn’t even get in the team before he left, JWP and Romeu kept him out on form alone, they were brilliant in the post lockdown games.

Not for me, like quite a few others I’d been saying that Forster is the better option of the two. He’s not been flawless by any stretch but in general I think the defence as a whole has looked more secure with him behind. To be honest though, neither should be seen as our first choice option going forwards so hopefully it gets addressed in the summer.

Pretty sure all of the commentators on BT (Franny and Crouch) then on MOTD (Dublin and Richards) all said that it was silly that a foul wasn’t given here. Think it was maybe Crouch (who was very pro Spurs) said that for him no way the goal should be given as that incident was absolutely key to the whole move, without that there was no move. But yeah, that’s the rules.
-
He commentated on Spurs v Saints. He was distraught by the end of it.
-
Ian Pompey Fan Darke and Glenn Hoddle were distraught at the end of their commentary, they were wishing one in. Crouch also playing the Spurs fan. Thankfully Franny was there to give it some balance. Ralph you little beauty.

Heard that one before……

George Best was nowhere near his peak when he finished playing football. Cantona is about the best example there is though. He has said himself that he quit too early.

Of course there will be. In fact there are soon going to be so many Brexit benefits that the haunted pencil JRM has been appointed Brexit benefit minister to take on the burden of sharing all the wonderful news with us.

Perhaps a condition of sale that she reverts to a shareholder rather than director?

Yeah I get that, it was definitely his thinking pre game as he alluded he was going to do it in his press conference in the lead up to the game. I was a bit surprised and a little disappointed he did it, Ralph has often before prioritised cups and not put out such a changed side. We got a bit of a scare and got away with it.
-
You seem to be saying that Ralph shouldn’t take blame for picking the side he did, despite also saying that Ralph realised he made a mistake with the team he picked then changed it quickly?

Some of those were absolutely hilarious 🤣 Cracking burgers in there, and absolutely massive. Haven’t been since before covid hit though.

Clifford had some useful ideas but, my god, the man was a helmet.

We’re not second, we’re joint third 🙄

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Don’t think it needs a winky emoji. I’d be surprised and disappointed if Ralph put out anything other than our strongest team.
