  1. There’s always the possibility it’s both.
  2. Dorries is utterly thick as shit. She only got where she is by being Johnson’s lickspittle and she’s forever ostracised to back benches when he’s gone. So she takes the only option she has, entrench that tongue of hers firmly up Boris’ sizeable arse and breathe it all in. Despicable human being and the very embodiment of what is wrong with politics, party over country every time for these wankers.
  3. Kier Starmer’s admonishing of him was very well delivered. I’m still not fully convinced on Starmer but him and his party are a million times more attractive that the sorry sack of shit on the benches opposite them. Ian Blackford was brilliant 🤣 so glad he didn’t back down and retract on calling Johnson a liar, which he so clearly is. And hats off Teresa May. Such a succinct accusation and question she made that the fat liar simply had no answer to, so he ducked it. That was fun to watch!
  4. The Sue Gray update is out. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/investigation-into-alleged-gatherings-on-government-premises-during-covid-restrictions-update Considering she’s not been allowed to report on anything at all of the interesting bits, it’s pretty obvious what the content of the full report will be and it’s not a good look for No. 10. Whether the full report will ever see the light of day is doubtful, mind.
  5. This shouldn’t be a surprise to you. The parameters of the Gray inquiry were always that, if events were uncovered that might be criminal in nature, they would be forwarded on to the police. The inquiry’ terms of reference are here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1039751/Terms_of_Reference_-_Cabinet_Secretary_Investigations_-_December_2021.docx.pdf
  6. Why have you got a picture of MLG as your avatar?
  7. It wasn’t all we had though. We had our own eyes, on what he did for Saints. I think that’s where your your statistical analysis fell down, maybe.
  8. That’s a very poor statistical base to draw from in this particular case. I think you’ve realised your mistake, sort of, so we’ll move on.
  9. Yeah that one was just bizarre. The truth of Ralph’s performance probably lies in between the two entrenched camps on here. He’s definitely got a better squad at his disposal this season. He also was rather inflexible in tactics previously and we became very predictable and all too easy to pick apart. Ive always been in the “Ralph in” camp. I think he’s a great fit for us. I also think this season has seen a change in his approach and tactics. I’d live to see him properly backed in the transfer market as he’s been working with shackles on. Transfers in the past couple of years have been very positive, so there’s good reason to feel optimistic about the current set up.
  10. Pretty decent review from shearer and Murphy on MOTD I thought. Said both var reviews were correct (I still think Armstrong was lucky not to go).
  11. It really isn’t that simple though. There are genuinely times when a player is in an offside position but isn’t interfering with play. The new laws of the game along the past few years have gone a long way to improve the game for that. They’ve just evolved to a point where, IMO, it’s unfair against the defending side in certain situations. Particularly, when a cross is swung in and multiple players are offside but the guy that knocks it in isn’t. I see an easy solution. If any attacking player is in the penalty area when the ball is played in, and they are in an offside position when the ball is played, immediately it’s called as offside. But them I’m simple, so it’s not for all.
  12. Yeah I’ve heard that before and it’s a bit too basic.
  13. For me, this is a massive fault of the offside rule. I think that goal should be disallowed. Simply because, when the ball comes in, as far as Forster in concerned, all of those players are in play and active. The keeper doesn’t know exactly where it will drop so has to take into account all players. I’m not saying that what’s caused the goal in this case, but as far as I’m concerned, that offside player is interfering with play as he causes the keeper to think about him as an potential attacking threat. The current rule expects the keeper to judge who is onside and who isn’t, which he obviously can’t do. I think it’s a bad rule and today shows a little why.
  14. Don’t know if it’s just me, but I think Guardiola is trying to play mind games with his whole ‘best game ever’ mantra. I think he feels enormously hard done by, but doesn’t want to say what it is. He was a bit of a prick to the sky and bbc commentators and had a spat with Ralph after the game. I think he is absolutely fuming about something but won’t say it on camera. The penalty that didn’t get given (fair IMO) and the Armstrong foul (red card IMO) really got to him. I’d love to hear what actually went on with him and Ralph between the game and after the whistle, sky showed a little but but didn’t ask too much afterwards, certainly not of the bald stroppy one. I love the idea of little hairband Jacky Grealish waiting in the tunnel for Romeu 🤣
  15. I thought it was a red card. No intent to harm from Armstrong but in todays rules I’m surprised he didn’t go. Ralph taking him off immediately and confirming it was to protect him also said a lot for me. Very glad var didn’t give it,nhs it l8kely may have made the difference.
  16. Jack Grealish is the ultimate “hold me back” prat who literally nobody is trying to hold him back.
  17. Hope Ralph nutted Pep there.
  18. This. He doesn’t seem like the brightest star in the sky though.
  19. Goal of the season contender that. From our own box to theirs in a lovely sweeping move. Reminded me of the Channon goal against Liverpool at the dell.
  20. This has got to be one of the dimmest posts I’ve ever seen on this board. And it’s a low benchmark.
  21. Scarily spot on ffs 😳
  22. I don’t think they can sell him in January to anyone else (or recall him) without both parties agreeing. You’d like to think we wouldn’t agree to that this January! At the moment it’s obviously a perfect arrangement for both clubs. Chelsea have enough options already and he’s a potential for them in future. Given that he’s a Chelsea player and has been with them for many years through his youth, You can’t imagine anything else other than that his heart is set on breaking through for them. As it should be. So anything we can do to keep him beyond next summer is a bonus.
  23. Lambert, Mane, Pelle, Ings
  24. This. J-Rod was rarely the main striker, he and Mane were very similar in roles.
