  1. I don't know what questions or idiots you're asking but I've never met a football fan from around the UK who doesn't know we play in red and white stripes. Even the BBC had a feature at the start of this season expressing surprise that we were playing in a Liverpool 1980s design.
  2. The idea that its utterly brilliant that the club do everything behind closed doors and not in public is obviously a bit more selective than first thought.
  3. Ask any non-Saints fan what kit we usually wear and they'll say red and white stripes. You're the one kidding yourself if you think other fans think of us more in the Rank Xerox or Hummel kit, or sash kit that was worn for one year when we were hidden in the obscurity of the third division.
  4. I assume if people think this is good PR, they'll be all up for a new strategy of negotiating new contracts with our players by doing it all publicly, registering concern that the players' wage demands may not match the club's, leeting slip other such unsettling leaks and then patch it all up with one of the nice pictures of MP, player and new watch. Apparently doing it behind closed doors and then making an announcement to the press is not the way to do these sort of things.
  5. Uh, yes; that's kind of why I said get it done and then make a public announcement. So apart from the end result of announcing who our owner is and that they are firmly behind our future plans, what was the point of the exercise? To exert pressure on the owners? To reaffirm the control the CEO has? If its those, I'm still left wondering how it's good PR to do all that in public rather than behind the scenes and then presenting a common goal and strength of partnership with a joint announcement to the public.
  6. Unfortunately its a by-product of having to have moderators such as the moronic St. Chalet and that other dribbling pansy Jimmy D. Hell in a handcart etc....
  7. Christ, I think some people have a strange idea of what "good PR" is. Cortese got his way and got the guarantees he was after, fair play to him for that. But to claim the club looked good off the back of it is daft. Good PR would have been being able to sort this out behind closed doors and then make a public announcement, rather than doing our dirty washing in public and showing a potential fragility to the backbone of the club.
  8. F*ck me, get a grip you idiot. If that results in a ban then you'd just as well shut the forum down.
  9. RIP the Bear. Made me laugh.
  10. Why? Why do we have to do that? We're a team that play in red and white stripes. I don't see why it has to somehow then be unique.
  11. I hope that at the end of the transfer window you will be denying that you ever said the aim was to spend £300M-£500M and this was just the club's ambition.
  12. Was there lethargy? We didn't seem too lethargic getting Rodrigiuez very early in the summer for what was a then club record fee. We didn't seem too lethargic chasing Ramirez all summer long before finally snaring him as the window was closing. There didn't seem to be a lack of effort; just a debatably questionable issue of prioritising high spending in certain positions of the pitch over others. Which kinds of makes it even more interesting to see where our piriorities will be seen to lie this summer.
  13. I reckon we'll spend more than last season. £35M - £40M.
  14. One Katharina There's only one Katharina One Kathariiiiiiiiina There's only one Katharina
  15. I'm Brian from Cosham and I know nowt either.
  16. I think we all know what happened the last time such a poll was on here and came up similarly in such favour of the incumbent.....
  17. Ticket touting scum.
  18. They do have the same knack for starting utterly sh*t threads and soon after disappearing from them.
  19. In Premier League terms, not all that much of a rip off really. Could've had Gazzaniga in there......
  20. Actually, Green has made 15 appearances for QPR (13 starts and 2 sub). Possibly a bit harsh to have him in there, though god knows what his huge wages are.
  21. Huge wages and 0 appearances in the league. Got to feel a bit sorry for him, he was enticed to QPR as the de facto new number 1, then got replaced even before the season started!
  22. Just new signings, isn't it? Lambert doesn't qualify.
  23. I think you should mention it many times.
  24. We already have Ramirez and Lallana who play in that position, so unless one or both of those leaves we already have enough competition there.
