Appearances: Schneiderlin 28, Ramirez 20. So, no, not tbf tbf.

How many goals has Gaston scored this season? How about Morgan? Excluding his corners which he takes (most often badly) every time; how many assists has Gaston made. How about Morgan?

Good posters that don't bother any more and you can see why!

Well in, Milts. -
IMO taking off Ramirez was the right move, putting JWP on for him was the wrong one, given the other option(s) available.

Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
The Kraken replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
It's not about being on most clubs radar, it's the profile the chairman receives in the media. Football is a massive industry and lots of column inches and TV space are consistently given over to owners and chairmen. I imagine most posters on this board could pick out at least 50% of premier league chairmen either by name or face, and Cortese comes to that fresh from a week or two of extreme media scrutiny. I dimply don't believe that most football followers wouldn't have heard of him, or most PL chairmen/owners for that matter. -
Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal

Anyone who doesn't know who Cortese is clearly doesn't follow football very much. The exposure he got after the Adkins sacking was massive for a chairman of a lower PL team. My mates from Scotland all knew about him and were asking me about it, it's very naive to believe he is still under the footballing radar now. -
One or two would be nice though. It just again comes back to the same debate with Gaston as it does with JRod. Not whether he is or will be worth the money in future, but whether he was the right signing for THIS season. Next season, with one year of Prem experience behind us (if we stay up) then, for me, it's a decent signing. This season, I'm not so sure given that we failed to spend a similar sum in other more worthy areas of the side.

Can't look further than Lambert myself. Top of the goals scored charts with 12 (almost 1 goal every 2 starts, a very good stat in the top league for any striker). Top of the assists chart with 8, meaning he's either scored or set up over half our goals. A real class act, goodness knows how he'd never even played Championship football before us, let alone top flight. Morgan and jack Cork have been brilliant for us this season, but Rickie shades it for me, I think he's superb. Saying that, I hope he gets his head in gear for Saturday's game as he was woeful in the reverse fixture. Put it down to nerves playing at his idol of a ground.

And that's what makes it so good, for me. I've been to America an awful lot in the past 15 years with work, probably over 50 times now and been to close to 40 of the states. New York is by far my favourite city, no other city comes close (although San Francisco is thoroughly decent).

Would they? I think a poll may be needed.

You see, its ignorant cry-baby nonsense likes this that makes me glad I annoy you. If it means bleating dullards like you don't come back so often, then good. "Ganging up on anything remotely positive". This is the exact same type of b*ll*cks that gets spouted on the stadium expansion threads when MLG starts his trolling and comes out with all of his incorrect and factless claims that Cortese is in a hurry to build build build; that "me and my ilk" are totally against the club growing, despite us constantly stating that there is a definite realistic goal to upgrade to around a 40,000 stadium within the next few years if the demand is there. Even top mong Tamesaint was at it only yesterday claiming that some of us "were against progress at all costs" or some other such complete tripe. Bellend. -
Does anyone here play football in the Southampton Vets League? Now that myself and a few of my mates are the wrong side of 35, we're thinking of recreating our old Sunday League team by entering into the Vets league. Just wondering if anyone plays in it, and what the standard is like?
-
Why won't Parker and Osman still be around in 15 months time?
-
Lambert is the only one in our squad who might get a look in, and he clearly won't. And to be fair he hasn't been playing well of late. No one else deserves to be in there.
-
Actually there has been name calling towards Baz. Fortunately he's not a forum wet blanket and recognises banter and debate as a bit of a laugh and doesn't go crying to the mods like some others choose to do with similar such threads.
-
I'm surprised at the lack of Internet white knights rushing in to comment on the bullying and ganging up on Barry in this thread. It really needs the likes of suewhistle et al to comment on the schoolyard bullying going on and how unfair it all this. I'm surprised this hasn't happened yet.

This thread is why this forum is so poor these days, you can see why none of the decent posters don't bother any more etc etc
-
Well said Tokyos.

The perils of over indulging in rioja and deciding it's a good time for forumming. Me and Bear have become chums after all that bother. Haven't we, Bear? Bear? BEAR?!?!
-
I think MLG loves the bants, really. He's just not terribly good at it.
-
Sorry Bear, but I just can't help myself. His drivel has got worse and worse in the past few months; since Crystal Palace-gate, in fact; he's on a downwards spiral with no sign of reverse, and its just too much of a tempting target to wade in and correct his numerous errors. I should rise above it, I know. Its a weakness. I need help.
-
Nope. Not got it. Alpine? Although if your idea of negative is disagreeing with MLG's idiocy, then your benchmarks clearly need some work.
-
I don't. Can you point them out? I don't think I've ever heard of anyone who is dead set against Saints improving.
-
Unlike Saints, who won't see a drop in attendances should we get relegated, do you mean? 18,000 in a 24,00 stadium is 75% of capacity; pretty much the same ratio to capacity that Saints had in our Championship promotion year. In the year we got relegated to L1 we were fairly close to 50% of capacity.
