Its quite worrying, isn't it? That a supposed fully grown adult has to hide away from postings by a certain person as they just can't handle their emotions or how they react when reading something by an anonymous nobody on the internet. Frightening that so many get so worked up by it. Even more frightening how these people are desperate to tell all and sundry how weak willed they are, and how proud they are about it.

Going back to Cardiff.

I think we've missed a trick by not bringing in sports that we'd have a good chance of winning. Darts, snooker, morris dancing, sack race, egg and spoon race, that sort of thing. We'd clean up.

This was done recently, but it was a comparison of our side against the one that played in the FA Cup final and finished 8th. The current squad didn't match up very well at all, although we've added Clyne and Davis since then. It seems a bit pointless to me to compare our side against one that got relegated and finished last in the division (unless you consider we're worse than them, in which case we're in real trouble).

Wigan game is now tied in for the Man United game, so there'll be extra interest.

Reading it back, I've actually got no idea what he's on about. I thought it was clear from the text, the title suggests something different altogether. Colour me confused.

I think we'll agree to disagree then. Like you I've seen him a fair bit over the past 2 or 3 years and I think we're really lucky to have him. I think he'll do a very good job for us; his 45 minute cameo against Ajax was certainly very promising. As I said earlier I have more concerns over Rodriguez, sheerly for the fact I know much less about him.

Statistics would suggest that our highest level of season tickets came not in the first season, but after the FA Cup / 8th PL finish season, 2003/04. In that season we sold out pretty much every home game. For all other seasons we had around 8 games (almost half) where it could be argued we didn't sell out, which perhaps indicated a lower ST level. I think there's very little doubt we'll sell out our games against the top, say, 8 sides. After that I think our crowds against the lesser sides will show us if we have moved on and grown the support significantly since our previous PL days. If we can repeat that 2003/04 season type of attendance figures then i think its fair to say we have. If we've still seeing crowds of only 30,000 to 31,000 or so then I think we could suggest we're around about the same.
