  1. Perhaps part of a future plan. Would certainly make sense (at least the Eastleigh and Winchester ones), especially as we don't use Sports Direct or anyone else to sell kits. Basingstoke I'm not so sure, at least not yet.
  2. Hmm yeah, you're right. I think maybe Pat has a point, rather than restrict ourselves to the Solent we should make the most of our massive catchment area and rebrand ourselves as South Coast Saints FC. Then we're being inclusive to all of our fans from Dover down to Cornwall.
  3. Solent Saints FC, for when the skates implode and all of their fans take the trip up the M27 for Premier League football.
  4. Dickson has already been told he's being frozen out, and I've read rumours that Harding may be on his way to Sheff Wed. In either case neither player are good enough for the PL IMO, so its natural we look to improve. Wouldn't have classed it as an area that was in most need of strengthening, but plenty of time for more signings yet.
  5. Stop being such a pr1ck; everyone apart from the most anally retentive can see what he was getting at. Even if the "press conference" thing was wrong, who cares apart from you in your desperate and ultimately fruitless quest to be seen as correct about everything and anything?
  6. Stop being such a tedious nit-picking bore.
  7. Why is everyone being so negative? This FANTASTIC NEWS, and should be overwhelming proof for all the doubters about our Champions League candidacy. I can't wait, what a roller coaster journey this is, from the bowels of League 1 to chasing and usurping Manchester City. Great stuff.
  8. The meerkats p*ss all over that fat annoying tosser. Alexander and Sergei
  9. Let it go FFS. You don't like it. Others do. I don't know why the likes of you, Alpine and others want to go so far out of your way to express your outrage at how bad it is.
  10. The poll on the thread you just posted in.
  11. So you raced down to the store to get a 12-18 months sized kit for a 5 month old? I must be missing something; is he massive?
  12. I think because they typically undercut the ticket price. Plus Saints would have to give them a cut of the profits. Sell them at the ground or in the West Quay store and they control the price as well as maximising the profits.
  13. Well of course; but the point is that the scale of demand for this new kit has taken lots of people by surprise; possibly also the club, hence why they weren't as prepared as they maybe could have been to serve everyone quicker.
  14. If the reaction on here is anything to go by then the demand for the shirt has completely surprised everyone; perhaps also the club, hence the significant queues.
  15. Is it not better that they told you outright you probably wouldn't get served in time, rather than let you wait for 2 hours? It's obviously proven to be a very popular launch; I guess you've just found out the risks of what can happen when you decide you have to buy something as soon as it comes out?
  16. Di Matteo "handled" the senior players by playing them. AVB had a brief to rejuvenate an ageing side; Lampard's reaction to getting dropped undermined the manager's authority, AVB also made some mistakes, but it all meant that he wasn't backed by the club against the players' revolt and therefore was never going to be able to effectively implement the changes that needed to be made. Chelsea will struggle this year IMO; Lampard is another year older, Drogba has left, Torres' confidence must be floor level after this summer and an old team has gotten another year older. If Rodgers gets it right in the transfer market Liverpool should be hitting the top 4, Spurs should be in and around it too, I can see Chelsea being way off the pace by Christmas.
  17. Bloody hell!
  18. Fair point!
  19. I think you need to take your Saints blinkers off for a second. The article is a snapshot in time of prospects right now, to go alongside the current betting market. Reading have done more than us in the transfer market so far. Pogrebnyak has won the title in Russia and played in the Bundesliga as well as last year in the PL. He's also played 33 times for his country. So he clearly has more top level experience than Rodriguez. J-Rod is arguably the better option long term, Pogrbnyak is a safer bet in the short term. I'm sure other articles will be written and odds changed when Cortese flashes the cash a little bit more and bolsters the squad. Until then I don't see too much wrong with the article, in terms of what we know right now. Of course, the whole concept of Reading being better equipped to stay up yet having longer odds than we do to stay up is thoroughly weird!
  20. Fine, but I disagree with your assessment of him, he's not amazing but he's better than you give him credit for IMO. Plus he has a decent record for scoring goals, which would be an addition. I think it could be a non-starter because of the fitness issue anyway, he only played 3 times last season (sub as 2 then properly injured in his only start of the season).
  21. If he is fit and injury free it would be a great move. Cue plenty on here saying "no way, he's not good enough, we should be aiming higher". Ability-wise, Jenas is superior to anything we have at the moment. But there's obviously a major doubt about his fitness.
  22. I can't work out if you're drunk, or if I'm more drunk than I thought.
  23. Did you really sign up tonight and pay your fiver just to whine about the kit?
  24. Apparently there is not an airline seat in existence that can accommodate his fantastically engorged frame. Or an airline built that can take off and fly without his huge weight causing it to return swiftly to earth. Or something.
