  1. They want their next "Aguerooooo" moment. Only it might be "Salahhhhhhhhhhh". Funny if the title winning goal was scored by someone whose name you can't scream out like "Oxlade-Chamberlain".
  2. They're going to do it aren't they, bloody Everton. Pah. Well if it's not them I'm hoping it's Leeds as I'd quite like Burnley to stay up for another season of relegation battling.
  3. Premature Decorkulation
  4. If all the scores stay the same tonight (and I hope they do for Burnley's sake) then I wouldn't want to be an Everton fan on the last day. Away to Arsenal. It's not impossible Leeds could get something from Brentford.
  5. We had a late flurry of attacking activity just before the full time whistle, and my friend who has no knowledge of football turned to me and said "why haven't been playing like this all game?" Exactly. We have it in us but we seem to be coached to be scared of the opposition. OK Liverpool's youth team could probably beat us right now but even so, the team they put out wasn't perfect and I thought we could have got something from the game. I know we're probably stuck with Ralph next season but please let him have some money to spend on quality. Our team is crap and stale and we are one bad window away from relegation.
  6. I saw some bits of it on Reddit before the threads got deleted as the guy live streamed the attack on Twitch for a couple of minutes before Twitch pulled the account. They were not nice viewing. I know the UK gets the occasional attack but in the US it seems to be all the time - and in random places too.
  7. Even Kelleher Gomez Matip Konate Robertson/Tsimikas Ox Keita Thiago Firmino Diaz Origi With Milner/Jones/Minamino/Elliot etc or whatever is still enough to beat us confidently. Although I suppose mentally it would give us a better chance.
  8. So we're looking at potentially McCarthy (as number 1), Bazunu/Dragowski (as the young number 2) and Caballero as the cheap number 3. As long as we get the acquisition of the new GK right, it's a position we shouldn't have to worry about next season. Everton are also intersted in Bazunu. If that's also as a number 2, I'd say he'd be more likely to get game time with us than behind Pickford.
  9. It's be very very sweet to get a point against them. Not that it'll happen but it'd be very very sweet. At least we can endeavour to keep the score down so GD doesn't play a part. (I think there's one outcome where that could happen...)
  10. Cue a 6 point deduction for financial irregularities because we gave contracts to Long and Walcott. 😜
  11. Ha MLG beat me to it.
  12. Rumoured as £22 million but officially undisclosed. Transfermrkt has him as worth £14 and a half million. If they don't get promoted he may want out. £35 million was the amount they quoted Arsenal when they wanted him last year before they were relegated. They wouldn't get that now.
  13. Surprise signing... 😜
  14. I was reading about Operation London Bridge recently, and thinking that it probably isn't too far away. Effectively everything stops, people go home from work (I bet I won't, I work on the Tube) and we enter into a period of national mourning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_London_Bridge She'll be a loss when she goes. I'm a Windsor man since birth so I grew up in the 'shadow' of the castle - though I will avoid the town centre for days when she does die.
  15. Well done James. Consistently good and we'd have been relegated without him. He won't win it but it's a great list to be on! Might help with his England chances too.
  16. That first team is pretty much how i see it. Huge overhaul of quality needed. Some of your outs I'd keep as squad filler but ultimately that first XI is bang on. However without selling JWP I can't see us affording to do it. Ergo we'd need a second new first choice CM too. I think we're going to be disappointed come August.
  17. I just read Newcastle are selling Jermaine Lascelles this summer. I'd have a punt on him as a bit of experience at CB. Decent player. Obviously Toon are aiming higher.
  18. A couple of early clattering challenges on their key players (essentially the old Saints) and they may not want to risk it. The CL final is their holy grail this season IMO - as much as they want to win the Prem, City most likely have it.
  19. What do we need to do in the summer as fans? Hope and pray that we're in good hands and that the powers that be at the club can see the flaws in our squad. What do they need to do this summer? A LOT. We need quality down the spine and I'm not sure we'll have the money for it. I also think if a certain large bid came in for JWP they'd be tempted to take it.
  20. Keane Lewis-Potter (who we've been linked with before) has looked good on the highlights I've seen but it looks like West Ham are in the Bowen/Benrahma-esque hunt for their next good Championship player. It would be nice to get one over on them but, right now and I hate to say it, they're the more attractive proposition.
  21. Salah starts on the bench tonight. Klopp clearly saving him for next week's big showdown with the mighty Saints.
  22. Ever since City rose to power I’ve supported them in their attempts to piss Liverpool off by winning their trophies. And I will continue to do so.
  23. Masochist! 😝 I agree though with others above I can't see any other result than a Liverpool tonking. Keeping the score down will feel like a good result. Hopefully with important games to come they do us a favour and take their foot off the gas when they're three up. If Ralph wins this I'll give him my full support for the rest of his tenure. 😏 Leicester look as if they've checked out for the season, so maybe a point on the last day isn't impossible.
  24. Definitely going to need this…
  25. Forster KWP Bednarek Salisu Perraud Valery Lyanco Stephens Romeu Small JWP That oughta hold them off for a nil nil. 😛
