We've played Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd and achieved 7 points. We have every right to believe we can win this competition, but only if we field our strongest, or near strongest team. The likes of Long, Tadic, Reed and Targett may well start this game, but keep the rest as strong as possible.

IMO all new posters should have to post a picture of a slutty nun to prove they're SaintsWeb material.

TF it's the transfer window. Bring in a CB loanee should be a priority now. I'd rather Vic or Cork weren't our CB back ups.

I can't really sum up what I just saw. Oh wait... A win at Old Trafford. Wow. And it's not like they're the **** Moyes Utd but back to being a dominant force (at least attacking wise) this season. Which makes our defending, and the fact that they had NIL shots on target, even more impressive. Gardos looked very composed when he came on, losing Toby was a blow I thought we'd end up being punished by. Morgan and Big Vic were outstanding. I really think that if we had a little extra attacking flair, one World Class player like Sanchez, we'd be nailed on top 4 every season. Thrilled.

I wanted Swansea to win that. They'll be a different side without Bony. A draw still a decent result though. Fair play to Everton too. Leicester vs Villa a bit tasty at the end.

He seems troubled off the field as you say, but as a six month loan, this is a fairly low risk deal for Saints. This could be our most successful season for years, if we even get a short term run of form from Elia, that could be the difference between 7th/8th or 4th-6th. If he acts up as he seems to have before, we ship him back in the summer.

If we win, and it is doable, the table will look really healthy for us and I'll start believing that top 4 is a real possibility. Draw or lose and it won't be the end of the world, but with Utd's attack being what it is, I think they'll finish top four with City and Chelsea, leaving Arsenal (IMO) favourites to take the 4th spot. Top 6 would still have been a cracking season though. Fingers crossed for more.
