I personally don't think we'll make the Champions League spots, if we do it will be absurd, though brilliant, after pre-season predictions in the media had us as relegation fodder, but if we do make them, one would hope the club take it seriously and think about the extra revenue we'll get with the vision of keeping our best players on more money. It's a fine line though. We don't want to be splurging money on bigger wages, only for the Champions League outing to be for one season, and find we are paying a lot of money for players the following season with no added CL income. Do that and we could do a Leeds. I wonder what might happen to Liverpool long term too...

This. Get Champions League and he'll stay put. Anything else and he can leave with good grace in the summer, for no less than Lallana who, despite playing in different positions, is not quite as good as Morgan.

God I love that sash kit. Good video that. Guly did a good job here, and was a big reason for the two promotions. I was never too sure what his best position was though, he seemed to be played everywhere. Hope he does well at Chicago and even boosts Saints profile a bit.

If this were an actual award, I'd give it to Toby to encourage him to stay. It would be well deserved too. But as has been said, there are a few who could nick it. My vote would go to Clyne though. Consistently brilliant, scored some important goals, and made the England right back slot his own to boot.

I'd take Berahino as a decent prospect but not at £20 million. I'd rather see where WBA finish the season first, go down and he could be bought for less. That'd be a cracking deal for Swansea if they get it, but only if they invest the money wisely. It's always risky to sell your goalscorer though. I wonder if there's any chance they could bring Michu back...

Ive seen both Sean Lock and Russell Howard perform live at a local gig on separate occasions. Sean Lock was poor, mumbling and staggering through his (mostly unfunny) material. Russell Howard was professional, word perfect, and very very funny. Yet strangely, I prefer Sean Lock to Russell Howard when I see them on TV. Comedians are definitely a taste issue, something for everyone. Personally I prefer proper stand up comics to TV comics, although one of the best comedians I've seen live is Lee Mack. I've not laughed so consistently through a performance since I first saw Lee Evans in the 90s. (Though I admit Evans has lost it of late.)

Traffic lights in Southampton are madness after a game, especially an evening game when most other routes are quieter than the one the matchday traffic is using. All the lights from the long roundabout on the avenue (I'm not a native so I don't know if it has a name) (the lights are near the Dock O The Bay fish place) up to Burgess Road junction are red for far too long. Re-phase them for match days and you'll clear the traffic so much quicker. IMO of course.

Which means we'll beat them in the replay! ;-)

I agree, a good decision by the club and by Maya. He's gotten better this season when I've seen him too, and he's only 26, he's yet to hit his prime as a centre back yet.
