  1. "Makeshift full back Chambers"
  2. So we want Bayern's, Juve's and Barcelona's opposition in their next match to score a few an we'll have a better record defensively than all 3!
  3. "You don't choose your family, they are God's gift to you as you are to them." Apparently you can choose your team though. Good, the Saints family doesn't want you.
  4. Wow this is a stat from that Liverpool forum: EPL Defensive Errrors 2014-2015 1. Liverpool 16 2. Everton 12 3. Man Utd 11 4. QPR 9 20. Southampton 0
  5. On paper, this should be an Saints win but Villa do have one or two players that can cause problems. Fortunately one of them is suspended. I want to say I'd take a draw but this season? Sod it, I'm going for a 2-0 Saints win. Davis and Mané picked up knocks against Leicester. I hope 2 weeks is enough that they recover.
  6. While it would keep him clear of injury, but I feel a sense of pride seeing Saints players playing for England. However the main reason I want to see him playing is because constantly being overlooked by Woy in favour of a (currently) inferior right back could affect his confidence and morale. Clyne's a pro, so that shouldn't happen, but I'd still rather see him playing.
  7. ...and on Tuesday, I'll be playing against Real Madrid at the Bernebeu as we attempt to win this again. Or This is what I could have won had I stayed at Southampton. :-(
  8. If that's the case it should solve the question of who plays right back for England next week. Chambers. Because Roy's in charge! Nah I think Clyne will get the nod. (In the friendly at the very least.)
  9. I still think Arse-anal will get their shyte together and finish above us but it may take some splurging in January. As for Swansea, they're more our competitors for, probably 5-8th. In hindsight this was a bad result IMO although it's still funny to laugh at the Arse.
  10. On second thoughts that might be Tokyo Saint...
  11. The penny drops.
  12. What we don't need is people getting all slitty wristed on here when we do lose. Unless it happens against Burnley. ;-)
  13. Sanchez scores again. What a ******er. Need Swansea to score now.
  14. ...whose first name is... ;-)
  15. He gets my vote as "most improved" player. It's very refreshing though that we can pick from Davis, Morgan, Vic and Cork, and still have JWP and Reed backing them up. That's a top central midfield right there.
  16. 3 wins to lift the League Cup suddenly seems much more doable. I'd love us to finish top 4, it would, as Savage says, be the single biggest achievment for any team since the Premier League was formed. But I do feel it's premature. This is a long old season, and while we're beating the teams that should finish below us, we've yet to beat a top side, as keeps getting stated. (Though I do feel we could give anyone a game if we're on form.) Having said that, I like it when Saints do the double over teams, home and away wins. 10 of those is 60 points. Aside from West Brom when we were still clicking, we've seen off all the other "lesser teams". That's 8 wins. 8 chances so far of doing the double. Other team's form does change, but it is possible if we keep playing well or grinding results out. JRod still to come back too. He'll feel like a new signing in January if we keep him.
  17. Toby, for the Targett reason. Bertrand has been exceptional though, and I think he'll be the easier one to keep.
  18. Its easier for them to just become Saints fans. :-)
  19. Liverpool fans want to buy our entire team in January and give us back the players they bought in the summer. Will they ever learn? The draw for the likes of Lallana and Lovren to join them in the summer was the lure of the Champions League. That allure will, quite probably, not exist next season. They really are poor in the transfer market. Suarez and possibly Henderson are their only recent success stories. http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=309033.1800
  20. Lovren, so shocking that even the Liverpool fans want him gone after 11 games, and Lallana who is struggling to get into the Liverpool first team. £45 million of utter hilarity.
  21. It has to be between Tadič, Pellè, Morgan, Clyne, Bertrand and Fonte, with honourable mention to Cork, Davis, Wanyama and Alderweireld. Pellè gets it for me. Just. But my God is it a tricky one to decide. But every team that wants to be successful needs a goalscorer and he's also a player around which so much of our attack is based. I don't think he'll win it overall though, as strikers can drift in and out of a season with form. Continue as we are all season, and I'd be inclined to give it to our captain, Fonte.
  22. It's an interesting run of fixtures now rather than a scary one, in part due to our form, our squad strengthening and our players individual talent, and also in part due to our more esteemed opponents struggling in one way or another. Simply, our wins and, ipso facto our points total, mean every point we take off the big boys is a bonus. However an added bonus is our goals conceded. 5. In 11 games. That's under half what Chelsea can boast. Even Aguero would struggle to score against us at the moment!
  23. Bravo to all the fans that went today, you've done us proud despite the atrocious weather. Posted from my lovely comfy sofa, in the warmth of my own house, while under a duvet and with the missus bringing me food and drink as and when needed. >>
