  1. Could be the pitches, a few have been cutting up and balls have been bobbling all over the place. I’ve never see so many balls bobbling in one tournament before. No wonder players are struggling to kick the balls.
  2. Not sure but a manager Taylor signed a player Taylor yesterday for Bristol Rovers.
  3. Ronaldo continuously smashing free kicks over the bar. Quite funny. Although he'll probably score a penalty in the 89th minute and the media will go on about it for weeks. Slovenia making it difficult for Portugal which is what they did for England. They're well organised.
  4. There’s no doubting his ability, just seemingly his attitude and definitely his injury history.
  5. Could be a tough summer for losing our double-barrel named players though what with potentially losing KWP, ABK and DCC. Thank heavens for SAA, THB and JO’BW. (Had to Wiki the last one…)
  6. Yep. I’d rather have Nathan Wood than ABK. In fact I’d rather have a plank of wood than ABK if that’s his attitude.
  7. ABK has apparently said he wants to leave and that he's progressed "beyond the club". God knows how, he hardly kicked a ball last season. If he doesn't want to play for us he can piss off.
  8. *other - as in as well as Taylor. 😀
  9. I wonder if we'll announce any other out of contract players we've been linked with as signing today... Ghoddos perhaps?
  10. They do which is a good sign. They also say he's good at defending as well as getting forwards which is a rarity for us. He can also play LCB in a 3 so that's an option - although they describe him as being very one footed. It's not a "wow" signing but it appears to be a sensible bit of business on a free transfer and he's only 30.
  11. He doesn't pull out of challenges because he isn't a pussy.
  12. Every signing we make this summer I will think this! I think with Taylor and Manning at left back we're probably covered in that position for the next promotion push should the worst happen next season.
  13. 2 year deal. Slightly underwhelming but probably sensible bit of business when you consider our other option is Manning or Larios, who is made of glass. I'm keeping a keen eye on who may still be with us should we get relegated next season and that effectively sorts out the left back slots for the next Championship promotion push! (Of course we all hope that doesn't happen...)
  14. Maybe if he's a success and stays for the rest of his career, we can erect a statue of him.
  15. £7 million and add ons mooted. He's only just turned 22, 6'2 and supposedly quick so on paper this looks like a smart signing for the long term, even if he isn't that good yet. As a back up option I think it would be OK?
  16. To be expected - just as long as our next bid isn't completely insulting like £20 million and 1 pence.
  17. His natural position is central midfielder but Leeds's other right backs didn't cop it last season so he played there for most of the season. Spurs are undoubtedly buying him for his potential though, pundits etc seem to love him and think he's going on to big things. It looks like he's standing outside the club's shop shutters waiting for it to open so he can get a shirt.
  18. This, and Sessegnon is probably joining Palace and Johnson is expected to join Ipswich.
  19. Surprised about Rodon as he'd be back in the Championship for another long, hard slog but maybe he's just happy at Leeds and TBF they're probably going up next season. I thought Gray was going to Brentford but obviously Spurs are a bigger club. I would have liked Rodon , tall, good age, had a great season at Leeds but hopefully the club will have other players in their sights.
  20. I figured Bellingham's inclusion was such a no-brainer I didn't even need to include it. 😁 Ok I got distracted when writing that and effed up...
  21. Ironically my team wouldn't be much different to the current starting line up despite everything but I would drop Foden who I think has been largely ineffective all tournament. Toney made a case for there to be a second striker alongside Kane but personally I think Gordon, Eze or Palmer should be in. Of those three it's a tough call but possibly Palmer on the right and switch Saka to the left (or have them fluidly switching sides). Dunk in for Guehi. Shaw in for Tripper IF fit. I saw enough of Mainoo to keep playing him although I think after he was booked he lost some of his effectiveness but I did like his direct runs. Pickford Walker Stones Dunk Trippier/Shaw Mainoo Rice Palmer Bellingham! Kane Saka
  22. Nathan Tella. Oh wait, that was Burnley. 😀
  23. At the prices we're likely to be paying, pretty much all striker signings will be a gamble whether it be Broja or Delap. Ings has some proven pedigree but is knocking on a bit and has limited success in recent seasons. Would we rather sign a foreign striker who has been banging them in? Well Onuachu scored 85 goals in 2 and a half seasons before joining us and that didn't work either. Personally I think Onuachu could have worked in a different system or with someone that believed him but it didn't. Broja has proved very little (although he's obviously got something about him), Delap has proved very little and Ings is probably past it. Personally I'd rather take a punt on someone like Miovski who has been banging them in for Aberdeen for the last couple of seasons as he is both proven to be a goalscorer and at a good age and price.
  24. I read that as 'strap on' and got worried.
  25. We obviously feel there's a very good chance we can get him. I think there will be interest from elsewhere but hopefully we can get this done.
