The Beautiful Game is now firmly in the land of the fairies
SNSUN replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
Let the City fans have their glory. It won't last and if the owners pull out in the next few years, they'll be bankrupt quicker than John Prescott can eat a burger. -
I got two tops from my godmother that were never going to fit me in a million years. Everyone knows I am a fat bloater, and normally I wouldn't mind if I could drop a stone and wear them, but they were so so small that no amount of fitness training, weight loss and holding my breath would get me into them.

I hear we're either going to sign Kaka or Deon Burton.

...because he's lived in a bubble his whole life! It sounds like this man had very little life, probably never going out etc. If you're ever single, and don't go out (as I found out a few years ago(!)), it's very easy to amass a ton of money. Having a life doesn't come cheap.

I see he's been released by Palace. Worth a second chance or leave well alone?

Saints Greatest XI - B Team Right Striker Nominations

Brett Ormerod was a legend. SNigger -
He'll stay one way or another. If we stay up, he'll have deserved it and learned some valuable lessons, if we go down, he'll be a better manager in a lower league. Either way I can think he's on a hefty wage, but even so I would be suprised if we'd let him go when finances are tight.

The Nottingham Forest game before Christmas was a must win, and we somehow bottled it, and I have no reason to suspect we'll do otherwise against Doncaster. Yes we won yesterday, and everyone is more positive, but we won with a less than inspiring performance. That said, Doncaster are probably the weakest team in the league this season, and we could do them with the new additions. A right back please or another CB will make me happy.

Saints Greatest XI - B Team Right Striker Nominations

Channon got the first spot, Ron gets the second. I still think we should play 4-3-3 in this format. :-) Ron please. -
Good to see the optimism but i still think one way or another we'll go down. We'll own League One though.
-
i get the feeling we'll do an Ebbsfleet long before we do an AFC Wimbledon.

A massive game against Doncaster could open up a five point gap between them and us, and we would also be out the relegation zone if we win. I don't see us winning against Norwich, but a draw could make this month the most bearable of this season.

Kinda ****es on the youth policy when Kelvin and Size are apparently the best players on the pitch...
-
3 good points. A goal, a clean sheet and all that with two debutants. From all sources it sounds like Size and Kelv played very well. Could Size be the difference between staying up and relegation?

If I were playing for Saints, I'd clear 15 Barnsley shots off the line with overhead kicks, and I would be your God. Anyone ever dreamed about playing for Saints, if they weren't 100 times less fit and 100 times more fat than a proffessional footballer?
-
A draw is a poor result in this game, however if we go one down anytime soon tghen I would say a draw would be a good result. :-) There's logic within my ramblings...
-
If I were playing for Saints, I would pick the ball up on the halfway line and go on a mazy run, culminating in a thumping 25 yard shot that whistles into the back of the net past Muller. Then to celebrate, I would go over and nut McG. Might knock some sense into him. Then I would be your God, and would repeat the feat in every game. If only it were that easy. Still, I'd like to see Morgan do it this game...

i reckon this game has draw written all over it. Saints go one up, look to be heading for the win and then barnsley equalise. 1,1

Tis this damn computer then. Cookies, or whatever the tech term for it is.

i regularly have sleeps at work, but usually in meal breaks. I don't mind shift work but it really messes up your system. This week i've been going to sleep at about eight and waking up at about 3 in order to get to work on time. I tend to go home at midday and sleep, which is fatal because i then cannot get back to sleep at 8. So a sleep at work helps!
