I one hundred thousand million billion trillion quadrillian infinity plus seven want Pardew to stay as manager. The exceptions to this are: The Premiership saying they'll let us swap places with Man Utd if we lose Pardew, Someone pointing a gun to my head and telling me to vote differently or Pardew losing the plot and machine gunning down the entire squad.

Ipecac will help you with that problem. Sacking Pardew would be a mightily stupid decision, I think he's had a good first season and genuinely is the man to take us up. However, I would like to hear a decision on his future THIS WEEK, one way or the other. We have stability for the first time in ages, let's not ruin that by letting this drag on until August before deciding his future. If he is to stay, tell him that, then let him go and sign the players we need for the promotion push. If he is to go, then do it - and bring someone else in immediately. There will be many good Bosmans out there this summer - we need a stable manager in place to attract them.

I have a superstition I use during Saints games - I have a Matt Le Tissier Corinthian figure from 1995 that I hold as a good luck charm. When Saints are on the attack, I rub his nose. It's also a nervous thing - it takes my mind off the nervy moments and protects against nail-bitage. Incidentally, of all eleven Saints games I've managed to get to this season, we lost the first (Bristol Rovers) when I didn't take him, and took him to all the rest, which we won all of except against Pompey. Superstitions rule. I don't think you can count having to pop into Winchester services for a coffee, or the Royal Oak for a pre-match pint a superstition, but I do that too.

On the couple of times I've seen him, I've not been impressed with Semi, but I wouldn't be against him being given a one year contract. James is a utility player, bit a right back, but if we still have him next season, I doubt he'll play much. I'd be very suprised if Murty doesn't retire, he's now too much of a liability. Which leaves Thomas. Keep him, if we can knock his wages down a bit.

Whatever happens with Pardew (and I hope he stays), I just hope they get it sorted one way or the other AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and not let it drag on all summer. The transfer window is going to be key this summer if we have aspirations of promotion, and we need a stable manager in place to sign them. Would it pee off the players if Pards was sacked? I don't know how loyal the dressing room is to him - I do however think it is unlikely he'll go, sounds to me like the media are just hunting for a story. Part and parcel of having, what I would call, a high profile manager.

Thomas's was the best goal I saw. I wasn't around for the Golac era, but have seen footage of it, and Wayne's goal reminded me of that. In addition it was against a higher league team, and was quite simply the most unexpected thing since... well I can't even finish that sentence it was such a shock.

I do shiftwork which is unpredicatable, so I do a postal vote. God knows why more people don't do this - it's so simple! While I don't doubt that some voters had genuine reasons to get to the polling stations so late, you're right - they always have the back up option of a postal vote.

I don't think we even need a striker. Lambert, Connolly and Barnard is a good set, especially if Pardew has plans to play 4-5-1 on occasion next season. Potentially adding the attacking threats of Antonio and Waigo would add to that too. Of course, this could all be moot, if we lose one of the three, lose Pards or don't sign Waigo or Antonio.

Probably not the sort of "devastating attack" that his manager had asked for pre-match.

I'd say our left back spot is the strongest we have in the team with Mills and Harding. I wouldn't say we need another left back. I like the right footed Harding idea people have though, we need a reliable right back. If only we could reverse the ageing process with Murty - sadly I don't think he'll be seeing another season with us...

Will be a good atmosphere on Saturday, gutted I can't make it. I'm already looking forward to the summer, the first summer since Burley blew his transfer budget on players that we will be so full of expectation. I'm already buzzing about kicking off next season - if I could hibernate until August, I would.

I see Richard Chaplow has gone on the transfer list. I'd sign him in a heartbeat. Could be very useful in our midfield. Jay McEveley will be on a free too - would strengthen the defence. Looks like there'll be some good frees about this summer, will be interesting to see who Pards looks at, I'd say our squad is about 90% there already - so we can't be too greedy. Can someone do a list on the front page of this thread, would make things easier...

I went to Prezzo on Valentines weekend. A lot of people aren't keen on chains, but I must say I had a very good meal in there. Not sure about the veggie options, but I'm sure the menu's on the internet somewhere!
