Sadly I had to miss the Luton game due to work. Hence why all 11k of my children weren't there either. (Only the first part of that is true.)

Tons of January to go yet, so this isn't a bad thing. He's not impressed me much when I've seen him although according to my more observant missus, he was trying hard against Exeter on Boxing Day. The snow will probably put paid to any more signings over the next few days, so start the sweepstake up again and I'd pick a date next week for the next signing.
-
Apologies then - it has been known for people to complain about buying tickets on the day about 15 minutes before a game.
-
Wanted a big team but will take this. I'm just glad we're at home - the next game I could make it to St Mary's for was that day vs Swindon. Had we been drawn away I wouldn't have been able to make it to St Mary's until February. :-) With my missus as a Norwich fan, she now has every reason to come to MY club and support MY team!
-
Apparently Hull are after him. :-D

My day only began 2 and a half hours ago! I love holidays.
-
Thought he was playing for Belenenses. He would be a League One marquee signing, but it wouldn't happen.
-
That could've been confusing

Biggest lol of the day so far. Ta.

I saw the magnificent top quality ITK resource that is Wikipedia re Ward, and wasn't for one second fooled by it. Ahem.

I agree with the people wanting to go out to a big team in the next round. Get the FACup out the way, and do it with some dignity. Away to Chelsea/Man U/Spurs/Liverpool/Spurs/Man City would do.
-
Juktiewicz gone back to Scotland. I think a serious think about Brett Pitman is in order. Bournemouth are letting him go for 800k and he wouldn't even have to relocate! I'll be happy with whoever we sign tbf.

I missed the first 15 minutes of the Bristol Rovers game due to turning up 20 minutes before kick off without a ticket, (through no fault of my own might I add), and learned my lesson. I now either ring the ticket office and reserve my tickets in advance, or book them online. The queues for the collection windows are virtually non-existant, and tickets cost less.

My missus has cruddy eyes ( I think the technical term for it is short-sightedness) and moans if we don't sit near the front. I take your point, but doing it that way may inconvenience too many people.

I had 8 bets on an accumulator today and tomorrow, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Saints, Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea in the cup and Norwich in the League, all to win. Just waiting on the Stoke confirmation, then it's up to 3 of the so called big 4 to win me some dosh. My mate said never bet on your own team, I proved him wrong, but I have been buttock clenching all the way through the second half. Incidentally I did have Portsmouth in the accumulator too but dropped them. Bloody glad I did now! :-D

All teams need a squad player, and he's ours. When Thomas and Murty were out earlier in the season, it was James who stepped in. God knows who we'd have chosen had we not got James. Thought he was very good against Exeter, a distinct improvement from the first time I saw him, against Palace away last season.
-
He didn't make an impact here, but then it was very hard for any player to make an impact here judging by how shyte we were for the last couple of seasons. Seemingly he's turned his life around and all credit to him, but I'd rather set our sights elsewhere. Still, as has been said, in Pards we trust.

re: Reo-Coker, I think it's a fair statement of intent to have players of his calibre touted around. Ok, we all doubt we could obtain a Reo-Coker, but we have the finances, it'd fantastic to stun the football world and bring in a quality player or two. (Although if this does happen I'd be suprised if it happened in January and not at the end of the season). I'd personally like us to nick a Portsmouth player, just to wind them up a bit, mind you, have they got anyone worth having...

Should we rest all the key players in the FAC?
SNSUN replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Would you call it resting players, or giving the squad players a chance to shine? Do we want to look like ****s on 3rd round day? No. The Luton game is a chance for Lallana, Lambert and Connolly to find some form again. It's up to Pardew though, of that much I'm sure. -
Losng our last game before the transfer window a blessing in disguise?
SNSUN replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
We must have some money to spend in January, but not to throw around willy nilly. If the right player is available for a reasonable fee, sign them up. New loans can be as effective as new signings... -
I'd be suprised if Chelsea let us keep Mellis, we haven't used him much of late, and I'm sure Chelsea would rather see him get regular first team football. Waigo's a season loan anyway, which saves the worrying. Antonio hasn't been great, but I still think we should keep him, I doubt Reading would want him back, and he can be effective from the subs bench.

Colchester was always going to be a tough place to go. Moving on, a nice break now with the FA Cup, and the excitement of a transfer window for Pardew to strengthen - and not in a hurry like at the beginning of the season. By the end of January, we'll be better placed to judge how the season will pan out, both in terms of squad strength and January results. I'm looking forward to it.

Amen to the transfer window then.

As nicknames go, this is cruel. ;-)

Winning goals for Bournemouth and Charlton and my £300 accumulator comes in.
