Well they have a game tonight and they were planning on giving him a run out if still at the training camp. even if he is still there, if anything is imminent I would expect him not to play. Once the team is announced I am sure we will learn more.

No they didn't, they actually got an old template....aberdeen's home from last year. Adidas are mugging off most of the British teams this year tbh. Not a fan of the stoke home either....preferred the Sunderland home and even that wasn't great. Adidas are not great at stripes usually. Been saying it for years.

Until transfer window closes difficult to predict how we will do. IMO 20-18=disaster (sack) 17-15=disappointing (sack v likely) 14-11=acceptable 10-8=very good season 7-6=amazing season 5-1=no chance Knowing the markets we are shopping in, I think that if we can secure 3+ quality players 10th-8th would be achievable. I really cant see any better than this in the league. If we got 4 or 5 in then outside chance of 7th-6th could be a possibility. Europe this year is a distant dream unless we get a cup run which would add gloss to our league position, a cup win would not be impossible and would be incredible for us. Not a huge fan of the league cup tho.

Intresting that the badge on the black training kit is "blacked out". From a distance looks as though it is not even there! lol I like the Red/Black training tee.

As I said Spain have the same template too but the v is not filled in.

We associate kits with memories from seasons gone by. Hopefully we can get some famous away wins in it this year, god knows we got none in the white! lol

In the interests of fairness, we have quite a clear picture developing of the initial reaction to the home. Although I think it's alright I don't like it enough to buy it, and 2 red shirts on the trot is one too much - I am not going to buy it. However, what does everyone think of the away? Another poll perhaps? My opinion, although it is a template design it really works for me with the black, white and silver. Wish it had silver numbers but not in the premier league range I believe. If it is good enough for Spain it is good enough for me! Will order one.

A few things. 1st off, Umbro used templates just as adidas have done. Don't forget our 1st Umbro striped kit was the same design as hull city & last was Bilbao but with the colours reversed. The sash from what I can see was totally bespoke (happy to be proved wrong, & no that team wear kit is not even close). With great history & no sponsor is a timeless classic and sold to people who would not normally buy one. Also we were in the 3rd tier. Last years kit was also a template although I can't remember what team had.... It was an away kit. Worth noting that adidas has given us at least 3 subtle changes on the tiro 13. Bespoke gold stitching (which I like), no middle seam across the chest, and cut off the white bat wings on the ribs. Other than that it is the there or there or thereabouts same as swansea and Bristol city. IMO adidas are not giving enough attention to the bpl clubs other than Chelsea and west ham (which are best of bunch). said it before, but adidas do a great job on this side of the ocean in the mls. A lot more personalized and different templates and designs. All teams also get an originals line which is sweet. Overall think home is ok, biggest complaint is again not very saints like, which is impossible to disagree with. That said I am sure it will grow as the season progresses. Away shirt I like, despite being a standard template other than the silver. Wish prem had silver numbers but white is ok. At 50 quid overpriced but got a sale hear. Like the shorts too. Gk kits are v smart. Back to stripes next year or xerox please!

As I said to my mate, saints media and retail normally leak like a sieve. We have known about the sash, striped and pinstripes all in advance the last 3 years. That said, we have a bigger media department now. Perhaps it was someones idea in the media team to "leak" some images to throw us off the scent? After the last 2 images have been outed I am starting to have some doubts. Hmmmm. Not long to wait I guess. If the club really hasdone this and that somehow they are different I will give them full marks and feel a bit of a ****!

I wonder if we are still interested in him. Pretty sure we are after a striker. FWIW I think he would be a good option at a good price (good age too). He did well in the Champions league and his allround game is pretty strong from what I have heard. Someone is going to take a punt in the BPL.

Hit & miss year. He has all the attributes to be a top player, just needs to believe it more often. That said when he played up top I wasn't massively impressed as he looked poor with his back to goal. Needs to improve his hold up play and strength and then we have a real player.

If this is it (which seems almost certain imo) then I can say I like the design as a shirt. For me the main issue for people who don't like it is that again it is all red. All red to most people is just not Saints. To me I quite like last seasons effort but personally I would like to see us continue to mix it up as we have often done over the years. Do I want to ditch stripes? No way.... if anything a little disappointed they are not back this year but it is what it is. Surely if Cortese hated stripes that much then we would have not had the Championship kit? The previously striped kit at the start of the Liebherr era had nothing to do with him though (it was Jim Hone's lot). Stripes often do look a little dated and like a deckchair, but they are a big part of our history. I am a little disappointed that a bit more effort has not gone into the kit to make it more bespoke. It is based on the team wear template minus the side paneling and the badge and gold adidas logo (so at least a couple of upgrades I guess), but the collar and sleeves are straight out of the catolgue. Pretty much everyteam has those panels on the sleeves however, it's just that the white highlights them that bit more. I actually think the gold looks really good in the leak and looking forward to seeing up close. Hopefully with Gold numbers which will make it stand out and less like other teams, hoping the AAP3 is in gold/gold white too not black and white as that will look naff with the gold. All will be revealed shortly I am sure. To be honest, not many people will care when the season kicks off. My 2 cents worth..... would still love to know where/who the image was from!

It's a great set of 1st fixtures compared to last season, and we are in a better place as a team. The whole season looks more even than last season, though utd at home last game is awkward. However like ending with a home game. We certainly owe the baggies but it will be a tough game.... though better than man city away!

Alex Crook obviously has some sources, but Journalists are only told what the clubs want to tell them (ie the sfc media team). I once had a "debate" with him about Rickies strike away to Man City. Alex said it was a "solo" goal..... I thought that was utter horse ****. Alex stuck to his guns which suggests to me he know **** all about football. Probably a public school toff who played rugger and daddy put him through school.

Can you describe the collar? What colour are the three stripes? Have you seen the designs or going on what u have been told?
