  1. OK but how has the club been caught out?
  2. Just a question.... how do you know how contract talks progressed between the club and Koeman?
  3. If you don't like the PR BS, then you don't have to buy into it and don't have to support the club. Alternatively, if you don't like the way the club is run, then take it over and run it in the manner you want to. So bored of the constant criticism of the club.
  4. How has the club been caught out? It seems that a 5 year deal was all but agreed (debatable), new agent comes on the scene and Everton give RK £3-5m more than we were able to. So really, where has the club been caught out?
  5. Do we ignore that tweet saying that the 5 year deal was agreed until a change of agent? Everton seem to have got it by flashing £7m a year at him. We can't match that. I understand that and am OK with it.
  6. Spot on.
  7. I do love the exodus happening even before we loose the manager. What happens if the new one is a good one?
  8. If he came out and said it was too good an offer to turn down and gave financial security to his family, then I would respect the honesty of that.
  9. The PL are happy that 6 or so clubs can tie the league up year in year out. That LCFC won it last season is a blessing as it gives an image that anyone can win it (which of course they can). But for the money men, it is easier to sell Chelsea vs Man Utd, than LCFC vs Saints to a Far Eastern/American audience. The PL are obviously happy with the cabal at the top. Supporters of clubs outside that cabal must surely question the point of it. But now with LCFC winning it, they might be distracted from the true picture of things.
  10. No it's not. As for the ambition of the club and keeping it's best players, isn't it a little ironic that EFC are resigned to lose their best player, and maybe others as well?
  11. It really isn't more complicated than that, and I am most certainly not your "pal".
  12. £2.5m vs £6m Forget whatever relationship you have. All sorts of reasons will come out - no doubt ambition will be bandied about. But simple fact is EFC can pay him more. Not sure quite why some people find this concept difficult to grasp.
  13. I do feel for them, but share the "love".
  14. Must say that I am already bored rigid of this saga. Just get on with it one way or other.
  15. Would be nice to see another club pillaged rather than just us!!
  16. Surprised they didn't mention the cruise ships and their government funded terminal.
  17. Of course that is possible, but given how far it has gone, you would have thought that one party would have come out and denied it. And isn't EFC's new owner on record as saying RK is Nº1 target, or is that Chinese whispers at play?
  18. I'm sure that I am not alone in thinking that Everton are behaving less than honourably in all this. Even West Ham don't operate in this way.
  19. **** me Dalek, you're one of the worst melts on the board. And really, anyone who starts on about "ambition" has little idea about finances and football. Oyston and Blackpool - there you could question ambition. You cannot level that at Saints.
  20. Does anyone have to be blamed?
  21. I think that the point at hand is that he hasn't been offered £6-7m yet, so there is nothing to turn down.
  22. ....but on the plus side, at least we are entering the competition knowing that we aren't going to do well. Too many times, in the past, have we gone to these tournaments thinking that we have a chance of winning it. Having said that, some in the media are beginning to talk about a young, exciting English team - soon it will be a team capable of winning everything.
  23. I'm sure that you could come back in 12 hours or so and we would all be posting the same old ballcocks.
  24. Would it be fair to say that this is the tail wagging the dog?
  25. That is true of course. I should heed my own words in waiting to see what happens due to the lack of information. There are stories covering all situations, so someone is bound to be right and the rest wrong. Furtive imagination?
