I have seen nothing but condescension from Everton supporters. Ignoring the trolls that all teams have, I think that the rest really are not aware that they are being condescending, even if there is no malice involved. Hopefully they will all þugger off now that they have got their man.

16:14 JOE RIMMER Everton deny Koeman deal is complete We’ve checked that out... And Everton are saying it’s not over the line. Yet.
-
Thank God for that. Now we can move on, thanking him for the past 2 years. I have little interest in his future, save to say like all teams, I hope they finish below us.
-
He wouldn't extend because they presumably knew about EFC's offer would "turn" him despite positive talks? Or were talks not positive in the first place?
-
At. Armstrong linked to this: Now if that is true (which it may or may not be), how does that fit in with how you see it?
-
Don't worry, I'm sure that the thread can be improved when people come on and say that RK was a shît manager and that they never wanted him here in the first place.

I suppose we are slightly more interesting than Liverpool. I mean really, how many variations of an all red shirt can you have? And still mugs go out and buy one. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Liverpool/Liverpool.htm
-
Why can't we just find a kit we all like and stick with it?
-
Can you elaborate a bit as to what that means/entails etcetc?
-
Of course you aren't, most supporters couldn't give a fig about it. But as an owner, a fool and his money are soon parted. So he of course doesn't want to over spend, unless he is a fool. And given that he has gone from a relatively lowly employee at KPMG and E&Y to supposedly being a billionaire, then I suspect he isn't a fool.

No idea but for everyone's sake I just wish it could be done with, one way or t'other.
-
Agree. His birthday isn't in March unlike our last three managers.
-
Me thinks that there is rather a lot more to what has been going on behind the scenes than meets the eye. Maybe when a new manager is appointed we will find out.
-
I think you echo most peoples sentiments. We know what sized fish we are in the pond, we know that football is what it is, and yes we were hoping the RK would be different. I don't think anyone is annoyed that he has gone (or going), just disappointed that he was not true to his word. I agree also, and have voiced it, that if he came out and said the salary was too good to turn down and secured him and his family for life, then I would be less disappointed. But like you, I reckon he'll trot out the ambition business which seems to be the card all football players use to excuse their shîtty behaviour. It's a little trite. "For men way come, and men may go, but I go on forever".

I think that we can see rather more than 2, as there are rather more than 2 errors just with use of punctuation. But then I am not a grammar nazi, and understanding what was written, I do not feel the need to (try and) correct people.

I didn't listen, but can imagine that the fat man wanted the league to be as it has been for the past few years where the big 6/7 fill the top slots year in, year out. TBH from (ex)professionals, I find this a really strange attitude. Why would they want a competition that is so uncompetitive? I know that they aren't blessed with the greatest intelligence, but surely a non "competitive" league (ie where the top 6/7 don't fill those spots) is so much better for football.

Given the length of employment that managers have, isn't it a little unrealistic to expect anyone to buy in for 5 years?
-
Pellegrini... Always liked his demeanour but is he a good fit for us?
-
But the academy seemed to be good enough with Poch. Harry Reed for example featured a bit under Poch, hardly at all under RK and not at all this season just gone. Has he suddenly gone backwards?
-
P'mousse, I thought that this second one of his wasn't as good as his first one, but still not bad. Yes, could do better, but seen worse.
-
That's a bôllocks article. "while Tottenham and Liverpool have also been interested in the past." Why on earth even mention them FFS? They are about as likely to sack their managers and appoint him, as we are to sign Messi. Arsenal is the biggest club who might sign a new manager, but they aren't at the moment wanting to be rid of Arsene. West Ham seem happy with Bilic but of course could "upgrade". Sunderland or us?
-
Brilliant. Not sure I've ever heard that one before.
-
None this year. The season before - Jason McCarthy got 3 minutes, Dominic Gape got 1 minute, Jake Hesketh 52 minutes, Ryan Seger 18 minutes, Matt Target 668 minutes. And where are they now?? Targett is bit part, the rest don't even feature.

John Hughes?

Have to confess I had to look him up to make sure it wasn't a mistake for Mark Hughes.
