It's extraordinary that so many have such an inferiority complex. I guess that comes from the media always focusing on Liverpool. Sad really. They are now going on about being in the money and having £100m to spend. Fact is, Man Utd might well spend £100m on one player.

I really don't care that much. Of course I would prefer we win, but so long as we have Roy in charge, I can't get that excited. He should have been chopped after Brazil.

Locals also. Not absolving the English, but it seems that the UK press are doing their usual.

If he went gardening, would we be liable for constructive dismissal?

JimmyD, I said I would match your donation to Alzheimers. What's the best way of doing that, direct to them or via you? If you want to PM me a/c details I can drop anything in there (if that is the best way).

But wasn't he injured (or had a niggle) for those games?

I ****ing hate opening & closing ceremonies. We've got swat of a DJ thinking he is some sort of super star. I could do the same with an iPod shuffle. But there is a ballerina in a pink tutu with a cracking pair of baps.

Boro?

Well the article does say...However, the Toffees can now be a big club and, for perhaps the first time this century, truly act like one. So saying that they aren't currently a big club
-
Hahahaha. Brilliant by the Liverpool Echo. How insecure are they in their desperation to show everyone how big they are and how small we are? What a Mickey Mouse paper/article and sad to say, my view of their fans and club is fast going that way.

Nah. Why would he accept £165k a month from us when he could get £580k a month from Everton?

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/522000/Graziano-Pelle-Ronald-Koeman-Everton-Transfer-News-Signing-Rumour-Gossip-Latest Love this.... Koeman, 53, is edging closer to a Merseyside arrival after the Toffees agreed a compensation deal with Southampton thought to be worth £5m, Sky Sports claim. And the Dutchman is clearly wasting no time after identifying Pelle as a potential new signing, according to The Sun newspaper. Everton face stiff competition from Stoke and Juventus, who are also interested in signing Pelle, The Sun claim. ...the Daily Star get rumours from Sky and the Sun and cobble together an article. Now it may well turn out to be true, but so many pieces in publications say according to [another publication] to base their story on. One thing that I have always wondered about. Is Pelle a popular character? I look at him on the pitch and he is always moaning and berating his team mates, especially when he doesn't get passed the ball. That would send me mad and want to tell him to STFU. Maybe it is an Italian thing.

Quite - it would be so much more pleasant for all of us if you just ****ed off (and took some others with you). Then you could sit around moaning and whacking each other off.
-
Spot on. "So Mr Prospective Manager, why were you turned down or over looked by Southampton?" Either "They decided that X was a better option than me" or "I didn't put my hat in the ring as it wasn't of interest to me". But as per usual St Chuck is overly negative about it. Quelle surprise!!! Me, I see Saints for what it is, and it is a very attractive job for someone to have.

I recall pre RK, that he was on the list that people wanted.
-
I find it ironic that one of the reasons that will be given for him leaving is our inability to keep our players, when it seems that some want to leave because of him.

I have never once heard talksport question what is wrong in football. All they want is for the big 6 or 7 to get bigger and **** everyone else.

http://football-transfer-rumours.com/southampton-rocked-as-everton-and-stoke-city-approach-talismanic-figure/473953 I do love the wording of the headline (haven't bothered to read the article).

I reckon the favourite is "another at the top of the list".

It's a funny one....Strikers are the most expensive position to buy. We have one that can still do a job for a couple of years. Gallagher may or may not make the grade in a few years, and we are a little short of a big target man other than him. So Do we extend the contract and write off say an £8m sale, with him retiring/going on a free at the end of the contract? Or do we go out and spend £10-15-20m on another striker and sell with one year left of a contract for maybe what we paid, maybe less? I would almost go for the former depending on wage demands, or even keeping him and letting him go on a free next season's end.

Brilliant isn't it?? And I think we all agree with your last sentence. Not angry/upset, just disappointed.
