Center of Kingsland. Can hear half time scores and that is about it. The 1976 interviews were a complete joke and didn't even bother to try and listen

Not sure. If people are saying Vic is GBP25m then EUR35m for Mane is about the same -

Not sure he will sign a new deal, but he might be here for another season, at least I hope so. It seems to be an MO that we work to with these players who won't extend and if he gives us 3 years, then that's fine by me. He has 2 years left, and if we say not for sale then he can't go. I guess you get into the usual battle of wills, tantrums etc. Then again, I guess everyone has his price, but given the new TV money, it means Mané's has increased. He has age on his side as well and who knows, maybe he is aiming higher than Liverpool. While I realise that Europa League is not CL, it is still a competition with some pretty damn big sides in it and could be a good shop window for him. -
Ah agents....seems that Vic is his prise asset and meal ticket. Can't imagine that that helps things. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/extratime-s-l-/beraterfirma/berater/189

Arsenal might take him, so might Spurs and Leicester. But with CL next season with LCFC or THFC, that rather presents a problem. Players often move stating that they want CL football but if the normal order returns next season, then LCFC aren't going to be qualifying for CL again. Of course LCFC might push on and regularly replace one of Arsenal, Manchester x2, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs in the upper echelons of the league, and become a European footballing giant. The same could be said about Spurs, but they do probably have a better chance. So one could sign a contract looking for CL football to only get it for one season (and even then might not get out of the group stages). So if it is guaranteed CL football that you want, England isn't the place to guarantee it save maybe for Arsenal (given their past success in qualifying). If he wants to go to a club that has a chance of CL, then Spurs is better than us, but we were onyl 3 points off a CL spot this season (just imagine if he had tried properly at Norwich). So then it is down to money. I am presuming that with a new contract comes a new improved wage. We offer what we value his services at, and this presumably takes into account what a replacement would cost, which he either accepts or he doesn't. Seems like he hasn't. So be it. A shame, but he has done 3 years here, which I personally think is about what you can expect on average from an overseas player. I think most people were resigned at the end of last season or the beginning of this one.

Common mistake people make to think those that come from the British Isles are all British. To be British you have to come from Great Britain, which is England Wales and Scotland. Northern Ireland is not part of GB but is part of UK.

LCFC are also 25-1 to win PL

Since Bosman it is about the package which includes transfer fee AND wages

Seems things have changed. http://www.totalsportek.com/money/spanish-la-liga-new-3-year-tv-deal-worth-e2-65-billion/ Spanish League has announced the new 3 year deal for domestic TV rights worth €2.65 billion (£1.8 billion). The deal will come into play from 2016-17 season to 2018-19. Its a significant increase in domestic rights sale which now follows the equal “distribution model” set by premier league. Before this deal Spanish top division clubs could negotiate their individual deals but with the new law passed in spain Spanish FA sold combined rights of all La Liga teams. TBH if you asked the true supporters of the big clubs in this country whether they like the league as it is now, rather than having a duopoly with the occasional interloper, I suspect that they would prefer things in their current format. They might lose out with the TV money on one hand, but on the other, it makes the league more interesting and more marketable overseas thus increasing revenue. As it is, I think that the distribution of money is far too concentrated at the top and more should filter down the leagues to the grass roots. .

No one is advocating ignoring their customers. I stated best not to ignore customers (so if anyone was advocating anything, it would be me, but then you wouldn't ask who was advocating that, as it was my opinion and rather obviously mine).
-
Everton seem to be quite persistent even now, albeit resigned to the fact that they are likely not to get him. http://toffeeweb.com/season/15-16/rumour-mill/32740.html with http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ronald-koeman-snub-everton-sign-8042506 being the basis of their piece.
-
Your seeming lack of understanding what "advocating" means, and your seeming lack of understanding who the customer is. But it's not worth going on about, but if you want to, knock yourself out.
-
Putting in context, you have the them and us. The "thems" (the big clubs) who were shown over 20 times lets say are Arsenal (27), Spurs (21), ManC (25), ManU (26), Liverpool (23) and Chelsea (22). Those are the teams with the most "supporters" and therefore Sky/BT will have the biggest audience and the most advertising revenue. You might have some explaining if you were LCFC being Champions and on a mere 15 times. Newcastle with 16 and Everton with 18 might seem ridiculous compared to our 12, but it comes back to "supporters" likely to watch it on TV. The quality of football that is likely to be shown seemingly has little to do with the decision to show the game. Of our 12, who were they against? Spurs, ManC, Leicester, Bournemouthx2, WHU, Chelsea, Liverpoolx2, Man U, Norwich, Everton - I think that that is it.
-
Ah so you change it from "who is advocating that". Well as to your new question, it is really rather obvious, so I have to presume it is rhetorical.
-
What on earth are you going on about now??
-
You may have a point, but best not to ignore your customers the whole time.

breaking News! Ronald puts own to paper on new deal!!!

The worst thing about these threads is how someone (and I am presuming you are older than a teenager) has such a pîss poor and juvenile sense of humour (and I that is using humour in its very loosest sense). -

Interesting thread, in as much as one has to wonder how old Turkish is. I am sincerely hoping he is in his early teens or younger. If not, then, well,...oh dear! -
Hoddle? Souness?

But the Skates were being serious.

Wow! £25m!! Puts the £12m over priced fee that we paid into perspective.
-
Possibly, but really it boils down to something that we have no control over what so ever, so not much point getting all exercised about it. Bit of pragmatism needed and just take things as they come.
-
Hodgson should have been sacked after Brazil, and really, a leopard doesn't change its sports overnight so ultimately nowt has changed, despite a 10 out of 10 qualifying campaign.

Fine, but it will be interesting to see if WHU can keep Payet and whether we can keep Mané.
