  1. This was a perfect result on two levels.... 1) for their "fans" who constantly look back at their history as if it somehow is going to win them games. We all know that they are a massive club but they are charmless and arrogant. Other clubs look back at their history, like Man Utd for example, but they don't go on and on and on about it. They might do when bickering between each other, but that is banter. Liverpool like to try and remind all of us all of the time. Spurs are a bit like that, a Liverpool-lite. And West Ham are desperate to be like that. 2) Klopp. The press seem to think that he is some sort of messiah who can waltz in and win everything because of who he is and what he did in Germany. We are going to get that next season as well, with him, Conte and Guardiola. The latter has only ever managed Barca and Bayern. I am not sure that they are really the hardest clubs in the world to win league titles and other silverware with!! Now while the supporters of those clubs might well enjoy the orgasms that the press have about "their" man, the rest of us are bored rigid with it. Bored rigid of having Klopp-cam the whole time. I don't care what he does on the sidelines. It's not his fault that he gets so involved, but the sycophantic press is hard to take.
  2. Football Manager predicted outcome in February 2016....
  3. FFS some of these men really need to grow up and stop blubbing.
  4. Remember that Sevilla are the only team in Europe's top divisions (or maybe even more) not to have an away league win.
  5. This isn't right. Liverpool have the history. WTF is going on?
  6. I hope Sevilla win so that talkSport and Quinn don't have a wànkfest for the next month or two. But **** me, BT don't half choose some **** poor commentators. Owen Hargreaves is even more boring than Michael Owen.
  7. More than anything, as others have said, that picture shows the spirit of the club. So glad that Cortese is no longer around with his megalomania.
  8. Hahahaha - I'd totally overlooked that.
  9. Not sure if this has been posted before, but for those undecided or confused, I can recommend this film giving the Brexit point of view. Goes on for an hour, but well produced and given the seriousness of the vote, 1 hour really shouldn't be too much. I found the bit in the second half that deals with the economy quite interesting especially the trade deals. The first bit was equally interesting in the workings of the EU and it's unaccountability. Even if you are a "Bremainer" it is worth a watch.
  10. Who was the last player we signed from a PL club excluding Chelsea loan players?
  11. Juve in for Christian Eriksen and Nabil Bentaleb. It was in the Express so has to be true!!!
  12. NO. NO. NO. Alderweireld is the best CB in the league. The press and pundits have been saying so all season.
  13. Pains me, but have to agree with CB - who gives a monkey?
  14. WEll B&HA are half way there and looking good to do it.
  15. So, Bournemouth, Sevilla and Palace to win just to put the icing on the cake. Some amazing results gone our way in the past week or two, just hope that it can carry on to the end.
  16. I think I am right in thinking that there were 10,000 of the U16 STs (the £99 ones). Presumably you also need to buy an adult one to accompany the u16 ones. So say that that's another 8-9k (presuming that some buy more than 1 of the £99 tickets unless there is some restriction to one per adult ST). So nigh on 20k. Then you have those on the waiting list, apparently there are 30k, as well as those who went to Leyton Orient to account for.
  17. You can judge a man by the company he keeps.
  18. But how many teams have set up to play with 2 banks of 4 defenders sitting deep, which CP did a lot yesterday. Or was it a back 6 with 2 just in front of them? At least it seemed like that. That's when Pelle is vital. Running at a solid mass of the opposition wasn't working and to me, we were fortunate to go in at HT being 1 up. GP came on 2nd half (why wait to HT?) and the dynamic changed.
  19. Oh I agree with you about the "what if" game. That's why I said it felt strangely disappointing (with strangely very much being the operative word). Maybe it was the Europa exit that was the biggest disappointment. From being on a high vs Vitesse to the low of the Midgets.
  20. Yet it strangely feels a bit disappointing. I agree that the 2nd half was brilliant. It's the games last year. The ignominious way that one or two players directly or indirectly led us to drop out of Europe. Those same players not being in the right frame of mind etc etc. Just imagine that if they had been in the right frame of mind, we might have won a game or two more in the league and where might that have left us?
  21. Big cross on the bingo card - CBF has had a pop at MLG.
  22. It's not meaningless for Bournemouth. It is worth £3 or so. Not a lot to some clubs, a lot more meaningful to others.
  23. Leicester might have, but we are 3 pts behind top 4.
  24. Spuds have been giving it large for months. The transfer of power. Dawn of a new era. Finishing above Arsenal blah blah blah. Then they bottle it and everything reverts to type. And as bottlings go, they did a pretty damn fine job.
  25. LOL And how much money did you place at the bookies on that.
