  1. Whenever I see "Andy Durman" I have to look twice to make sure it isn't Adrian Durham
  2. I'm in Kingsland Premium where there is just the one price for STs. They are in my old man's name, but he has dementia and I have taken them over. I was honest, and changed it to one senior and one adult for the cup games. I either take him or my nipper, so either pay correctly or a couple of quid too much on my nippers ticket which is a little less than over 65s. All in all, while I of course don't want to pay too much or more than I need to, I have always presumed getting tickets for different ages is beyond the capabilities of the ticket office, so just accept paying a couple of quid extra.
  3. Agree, but I thought you said Pelle was ****???? And also excellent was Bertrand and VVD.
  4. LOL - I don't think that you would find many on here who would have said he would be our first (and hopefully not only) goal scorer today.
  5. He's too theatrical sometimes for his own good.
  6. Twas Ian, her father, who was a director.
  7. Christ - she's so dowdy these days. Awful dress sense. Far prefer the Saints top (or what's left of it). Actually, find a Saints top filled by a good looking woman hard to beat. Something sexy about it.
  8. Is that the bird who does the weather??
  9. None, even though I was born in Boscombe. Don't particularly like football any more, so it's Saints and no one else. Probably the result of the media going on and on and on and on about the big boys. I take note of PL results as they affect us.
  10. I don't why a thread is given to him. He was here for but one year in the U18 before being released. Well actually it was less than a year because of the 11 weeks he spent in young offenders. I hardly think he was part of the club, but if he is, then a certain amount of revisionism is needed. His thanking of us (amongst others) is risible. We got rid of him because he was seen as a trouble maker.
  11. I agree that we are getting better....on our day there should be no sneaking a result, rather it be well deserved. "Worried" that Mourinho's talk about them not being too big to be dropped might actually work and have a reaction against us!
  12. 1. Improve the exiting of the stadium for those at the top of stands. 2. Improve access across the railway - build another bridge. 3. Lower ticket prices. 4. Bring back a traditional away strip 5. Not that I eat there very often, but get better quality food (then I might eat there more often)

    MOTD

Possibly, but having said that, I found Gullit's analysis of VVD's goal very interesting.

Who is offended? It's just if you are going to show highlights and discuss the matches that happened that day, which is the raison d'etre of MOTD, do it properly rather than some half arsed effort.

Having said all big clubs first, can't really complain about the order lat night although I would have started with Spurs/City. Having said that, the pundit discussion after the games needs a serious shake up. OK biased I might be, but what was done with our game was a little pathetic.

Why? They do not rely on advertising and do not have rights to sell abroad, so makes no sense what so ever to achieve the largest audience share. Or rather, financially, it makes no difference whether they get a large audience or not.

MotD is a poor show. Usually always features only the top clubs in the main slots, which given that they do not have the commercial pressure of other broadcasters, should allow them to do a much better job of giving air time to clubs that don't usually get it. This is from last season - http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/complete-match-day-running-orders-9310522 - where is shows Swansea on last the most. I find that a bit odd as they did damn well last season. As I say, no commercial pressure, so BBC should make a stance and have a policy of giving more air time to smaller clubs, or at least one per programme. Running order last night was pathetic (biggest club only listed) 1. Arsenal 2. Man City 3. Chelsea 4. Liverpool 5. Man Utd 6. West Ham 7. Saints (no offence meant to Swans) 8. Stoke Bit like Sky and BT concentrating on those teams as well (but for COMMERCIAL reasons).
  18. One question - I had a disagreement (good natured) with those around me about Pelle being given offside when he collected the ball in our half. I said it was wrong, but my neighbour said it was because he came from an off side position in their half.
  19. I think I tend to agree with you, save for the forgiveness/generosity bit. He's "our" player at the moment. Getting on his back the whole time isn't really going to help the situation is it?
  20. Not just him I don't think, but also his brother and their respective wives.
  21. A new dawn? Maybe. I am sure that some get very complacent when they are paid £65k a week (or what ever it was), and take their eye completely off the ball. By the same token, I guess a realisation comes that unless you pull your weight, once your contract is up, then that might be it for the overly generous pay day.
  22. Did I say that I thought it values him the same as Long? No, as I don't value and never have valued Long at £12m (even though I realise why we might have paid that much). So pipe down.
  23. I know - he's crap. Only scored 6 goals in the 10 competitive games that he has played this season. As for Utd, did you not notice him right near the end trying to win the ball back and ending up on our goal line giving a corner away, while the likes of Shlong were ambling about the half way line?
  24. I was talking to my lad about this on the way into school this morning. I said that Lollana was prob worth £15m and Lolvren £12m, combined £27m rather than the £45m that they shelled out.
