The boy's got talent. He just needs time to show us what he is made of. He'll come good in time, just needs a bit more....!
-
With 3 days to go, we have to of course put on a massive premium to either cover the cost of getting someone else in (on an inflated fee) or what we will lose out on by not replacing him. Still, I would keep him and let him think about things and how he wants to continue with his career.

The first reason given tends not to be the real one. Unhappy for a year.....hmmm. Funny how this all started after Toby said that he found it easier playing behind him. Anyway, nothing I can do about it, and I don't really care any more. I'll support the XI on the pitch come what may, but I might not renew the season tickets.
-
Would be nice for the club to take a stance, even if it costs in the short term, and let him see out the contract that he signed. Wonder if he will still be so sought after if not playing for 2 years.

The amusing (in an ironic way) thing is, that if these players actually bothered to try rather than **** about on the latter part of last season, we might well have qualified for the CL. But no....

Hopefully Lolvren can speed on his demise.

Not sure WHU are going to win the fair play league this year!!!!

Companies need a strong leader. We have, in Ralph, without wanting to be too negative (or be accused of bed wetting), a pathetic chairman who appears anonymous and does **** all save hold the owners' hand.
-
I like this bit Does that mean he is ****ed off that they got moves to earn even more, and he didn't? IF this is all true, then fine, keep him this year and if he refuses to play, he refuses to play. Problem with Saints now is that it appears that our players have seen a few go when they wanted to, so want to do so themselves. What I find interesting though, is why so many say they want to go and join Poch rather than stay with RK. Money. Money. Money.

or how about - shït

If he is off, then the writing has been on the wall since the "I want to play for Arse" reports last season.
-
Isn't he the de facto Chairman?
-
I am going to wait until Tuesday evening before spouting off. But, I would say presuming we are getting someone in (!!!!), it would have been best pre-season rather than 7/8 competitive games in.
-
I am a little worried about goals. Looking at last season, we scored 54, which out of the top 4 only 2 other teams scored over 50 - Spuds with 58, Liverpool with 52. The freak Sunderland & Villa account for over a quarter of all the goals we scored. And there were games when we struggled and Pelle struggled. So who are the alternative centre forwards - Long & Mayuka, and I don't think that anyone will say that they are adequate.
-
Yes I did just write that. But tell me apart for earning £750k more per spot, 8th and 14th, what's really the difference? Still making up the numbers, no European qualification, mid table. etc etc The club seems now to be content with making up the numbers, which I feel is a little pointless.
-
Can I ask what you actually expect from the club? We aren't going to ever going to win the PL, and unlikely toget Champions League. Europa League maybe, and boy, it's been interesting seeing the reactions of some. They seem to have changed from we don#t want to be in it due to affecting the PL, but when we crash out, it's all doom and gloom. So what really do people want? Lots and lots of money to be spent? Players brought through the academy? What really is the difference from finishing 8th and 14th? Both are there making up numbers.
-
I sometimes wonder whether there might not be a word or two from the club about goings on. Not to the media and wider world, but maybe to the supporters/customers. You've had Pearce and Kenwright coming out to speak to the wider world about their players, but what has our chairman done. What actually does he do? I suspect we are seen as having weak leadership and therefore have all sorts of stories written about us that are never rebuffed. Getting the manager to say no one is for sale hardly counts, as all managers say similar things.
-
I was looking forward to it. I wanted to be in the same pot as Dortmund. Have some Euro nights, even if we did badly in PL. Disappointed and for me, the season has already lost a lot of it's appeal. Now we are back in a competition to make up the numbers, and if last nights performance was anything to go by, European qualification is a long way off.

Is anyone still defending James Ward-Prowse?
angelman replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
He has been a little disappointing. When he broke through with the likes of Shaw, he looked the better player. Shaw improved, JWP seemed to stand still. I know that it is all well and good wanting to promote English players from the academy, but I do have to ask what he offers. I do think that he has played better than he did last year, but he and Steven Davis together don't add any creativity. -
Would be funny if we scored and won in ET.
-
Oh well....maybe this will show up our deficiencies and in the next few days things might get sorted. Maybe not. It might be a long season. Hey ho.
-
So IF (and that's a ****ing big if) we win, will he still have got it wrong?

I find masturbation works better, but my nipper is with me so not really something I can do.

**** off Owen Hargreaves.
