Fair does to the boy, while he wasn't great last night, it must be very hard to be expected to be tip top when you spend most of the season on the bench.

You might level that at all the players that have left Saints to go to Arsenal. Admittedly AOC and Theo have been blighted by injury during the past 2 season (13/14 and 14/15) but prior to that they have not been first choice after their big money moves. And Cedric looks fine to me.

I see the Mané thread has been merged with this one. I read this in the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3209356/Pressure-United-boss-Ed-Woodward-just-seven-days-grab-GAAL-actico.html Now I know that the Mail is not always accurate (!!!) but the arrogance involved in this is quite staggering. I am not sure that anyone sees Mané as a bigger target than Pedro, but to play around like they have and unsettle both the player and to a certain extent the club, is poor show. They used him to deflect their dropping the ball, got a negative reaction from their "supporters" and then come out with this shìt. If they were after bigger targets than Pedro all along (LOL at £240m for Neymar) then why even mention Mané?

Brilliant. Made me LOL.

Chambers looking very dodgy. Lovren not much better. Lolana not playing. Clyne anonymous so far.

We had someone who worked for us who went out there. Found it too quiet and came back.

I remember when I cancelled (when I was moving house so it was easy, although I believe it can be hard to cancel) they asked me why I was cancelling. Told them nothing on Sky 1 was of interest. The films were **** and I kept on falling asleep so missed them. The sport was of no interest as Saints hardly ever featured (and we had just been relegated to boot). I conceded that I would miss cricket and the documentary channels. But now, now we have this position where the regulators think that they have done a wonderful job with competition. Really who has benefited from Sky & BT both having the footie? Certainly not the subscriber who know has to take out another subscription.

I just worry (well, it's not really a worry at all) that things might go the same way as ITV/Setanta and the Championship/League footie. I got rid of Sky about 5 years ago and haven't looked back since. I, urrr, sometimes have my father come round who does have Sky, and he bring his device with him to watch Sky Go. 2 free devices can be registered, or pay £5 a month extra, and you get 2 more devices that can be registered. Not the best, but good enough. As for MotD, while I never watch when we lose, this season, I haven't watched it once. I am just not interested any more. I do sometimes wonder whether those in charge of either PL, FA, SFC, Sky, BT Sport etc realise what is happening on the ground? The younger supporters can't afford to go to the games. The old ones don't really like being fleeced and find the amount of money, while many can afford this or that, just don't want to. Eventually, and hopefully it will be soon, the whole thing will implode - or maybe that is wishful thinking.

Seems Berahino has submitted a written transfer request that has been refused.

OK, compared to this time last year, we are 2 points worse off. All we have to do is turn that home draw against 10 man Wet Spam into a win. Positive Mental Attitude. (Christ, this stuff must be good, only had half a glass of it!)

Ah, it was lost in the comedy of errors that is this game.

I think not, seeing as he is in the changing rooms.

Relegation, administration, panic, panic.

JRod winner anyone?

Not sure whether we are looking a little better, or whether it is just my stream is working better.

JWP coming on

I think it might be down to a contract being offered so late on and RK not offering him one when he hadn't seen him play. Something like that.

All's fair in love and war.

People have mentioned that this comes out a day before our game, when really, it should be seen as coming out just after Spurs ****ed up once again. One might think that they are trying to deflect attention away from their own deficiencies.

I agree that it won't happen soon. Premier League won't push for it as it is a cash cow at the moment. But the compromise seems to be the Champions League, which given the state of the various leagues around Europe, tends to send the same teams there (at least the ones that can win it) year in, year out (with of course some interlopers from time to time). Football is somewhat predictable, which I guess might make it easier for some to sell in places like USA and the Far East.

I hope she has taken money out, whether as a loan repayment or as a dividend.
