Saints willing to listen to offers for Pelle?
angelman replied to BridgnorthSaint's topic in The Saints
and injury prone?? Well that might be a bit OTT but doesn't he have dodgy knees? Anyway, have a feeling that Pelle is going to have a storming season. -
LvG is just doing this to **** off RK.

Yes, but then when you slide down the league, the big boys will turn their attention elsewhere and you can build yourself up again (so long as you haven't slid so far down that you have dropped off the edge).

I'm afraid it's not LOL for many of us. The attraction that we once held for football has dwindled. Maybe it would have happened anyway, but the money side of things isn't hugely attractive. I can't really see the point of being part of a competition that you have absolutely zero chance of winning, and are just there to make up the numbers. I guess though, that while we have no chance of winning the PL, we might finish high enough for the European competitions - one which we have absolutely no chance of winning, and one where we have more chance of winning than we do the PL.

This. It's not bedwetting either. Sure things like this highlight why I no longer like football as much as I did. I find it all a little predictable and pointless, and why I am very much looking forward to the Europa League (hopefully).

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3203597/Manchester-United-launch-shock-15m-bid-Sadio-Mane-ending-Pedro-interest.html LOL - too ****ing right its a shock bid of £15m.

As it is LVG, I would call it £35m-40m. Pay up or shut up and **** off

Attendance figure for home game v FC Midtjylland

Where are these damned free programmes? They were supposed to be on offer at the Vitesse game and I didn't see anyone handing them out (not that I brought my glasses so couldn't read it if I wanted to). -

Do you know what ticket prices were at Everton/Spurs? (Do we know whether ticket prices will remain £15 if we progress?) Spurs also no doubt view the EL as beneath them and that their deserved spot is in the CL. Certainly it isn't a novelty for them as they qualify most seasons. Me, I am delighted at the prospect of the EL and hope we can win this qualifying round. I will have absolutely no hesitation going to every game that I can. I suspect we won't qualify for it again this season so I fully intend to enjoy it while I can. -

Judging by some of the comments from some of the posters on here, a bit of a cull of our so called supporters might not be a bad thing. -

It'll cost me £11 or so for me and my boy for a return ticket from Brockenhurst, or I can drive in and spend £4 on parking and the same on fuel. Anyway, looking forward to it. -

I remember getting a boner on the tube and quite liked it that the bird opposite thought I was some sort of John Holmes clone. -

How many are Brentford sending down? -
Think it still might be this chap: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Steve-Lansdown-wipes-pound-35-million-debt/story-20425643-detail/story.html I guess that PL can attract players while Bristol City have to get them with big transfer bids, ones that we are ourselves paying.

What - we only have a max of 32k supporters (less the away allocation) so that others cannot step in to make up for those away on holiday? The Vitesse game had all sorts of new faces around me (and one was particularly welcome as she was quite pretty although spent most of the game on her mobile). -
Yup - I had some young girl tell me to sit down, when I was sitting on the back of the chair (with no one behind me). I asked her whether anyone was going to make the 3000 odd in the away section to sit down. Surprisingly that was ignored!

Personally, below 25k = poor 25k-28k = disappointing 28-30k = a bit less disappointing above 30k = what it should be Ticket prices are cheap, so that can't be used as an excuse. School holidays, so that's not an excuse for not bringing kids who most likely weren't even alive when we were last in Europe. -

Maybe they are still billionaires because they don't p1ss it away on football clubs.

The rules haven't changed, just the interpretation reaffirmed, which we all (should) know states if you go for the ball while offside, then you're offside. But hey, it's Anfield.
-
Very very very poor refereeing. Even I know the new offside rules and that was about as clear an offside as you'll likely see this season. And B'mouth's "goal" - I thought that this was a contact sport. Should have stood (even with a biased view on things).
-
This, and if his career floundered, then I am petty enough to say "good". He made his bed, he can lie in it (while being well remunerated).

Both, but Europa for me takes it easily. We join the FA Cup every year. Always have done. The Europa League is not for us an every season occurrence, and I am more than prepared to take the extra games even if it puts pressure on the squad. Will be very disappointed if we don't get through to the next stage.
