Do you always come over as a tool?

Figures from 2005/06 not 2007/08 as mentioned - my mistake. But as mentioned, they aren't my figures. Did you not notice that I said they came from transfermarkt??? If you want to see how they break down, go to transfermarkt and have a look. (or http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-southampton/alletransfers/verein/180)

Isn't it?

Probably. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27224806

Did we? After our relegation until our promotion (2007/08 > 2011/12) according to the figures on transfermarkt.co.uk we sold £60.54m worth and bought £19.18m, giving us a net profit of over £40m. The most we spent was in 06/07 when we shelled out £4.87m (although selling £3.15m worth).

Do they? Which of their 9 signings (I think it 9) makes them stronger than last year?

Gelsenkirchen?? -
If rumour is to be believed, they are going to go for Lyon's Lacazette as well for about €30m. Seems Brenda thinks that the way to win is just spend, spend, spend and then spend a bit more.

I am presuming that the match is unaffected by Dutch police industrial action, which has led to games being cancelled in the Eredivisie on Friday and Saturday.

Are B'mouth going to field anyone who came up with them? It's sad that. Of the 14 players used in the last nPC game, we had the following play for us the next season: Lambert, Lollana, Morgan, Guly, Fox, Hooivled, Fonte, K Davis, Cork, Puncheon, Sharp Of those, the following started the 1st PL game vs Man City Davis, Fox, Hooiveld, Fonte, Morgan, Lollana, Punch, Guly, with Lambert and Sharp coming on as subs.

Personally I found Consortium's comments overly verbose in some attempt to show how clever (s)he is, often irrelevant and if I'm honest, boring.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-transfers-tottenham-told-name-6187792 This, given that they sold Bertrand to us in January, would be a little bizarre. Also love it that they go with MP saying he is the best left back in the league as if that makes it a fact. Rose did have a better season last season, but the one before that he was awful.
-
Ridiculous. How you see it and whether you think it devalued or not has absolutely nothing whatsoever to which team gets selected. Sunderland away.
-
Stoke and us have the same home kit. We also have the same away kit inversed and reversed
-
Yes, Europa League is more "worthy" (worth being defined in this instance by whether you can win the competition you are in) than the PL. FA & League Cups have been devalued by too many teams not taking it seriously and playing U18s, including Saints under MP.

Not disappointed particularly, but it falls under my love Saints/hate football feeling. I am aware that Saints are fully involved with the money side of things, just on a lesser scale than some and more than others. But getting to CL is one of the aims of the league, the one below winning it. I find it difficult to get fully enthusiastic about being in a competition where 2, maybe 3, of the 20 participants have a chance of winning it. I am also realistic that we likely won't get CL, so I guess if I am still going to support Saints (rather than giving up football totally), then I guess I have to hope we get CL but more realistically EL as the lesser and more achievable goal.
-
Away kit is horrendous, seems others agree......not sure I really care what others think.
-
Long isn't always in control. For the 3rd goal when he arrived at the goalie, he fell over. Fortunately it bounced off the keeper to Juanmi and the rest is history.
-
Ah another enlightened soul. As I often say, while I love Saints, I hate football and this is why. The PL is ghastly. Having said that, there are slightly more "big" clubs in it than in other leagues in Europe, but that is to me offset by the obscene amounts of money. But then it seems everyone outside of the big boys is also shelling out huge amounts for very average players, So I guess we are playing for the Europa League and the chance to be in it again next year. We could have done CL last year, but we didn't. Now, I just want to be entertained, which of course means winning (or a draw like vs Chelsea).

Not really following this, especially as had too much to drink at lunch and the sun has zapped me, but aren't defeats (or even draws) more useful than victories in these sort of games? I really can't get enthusiastic about friendlies.
-
Agree. I'm going to give mine to a geezer who does favours for me with my trees (he's a tree surgeon). He charges me less than he should so a couple of tickets is the least I can do.

Ah ha. Ta Will give them to the neighbour then.

Apologies if there is a thread about this.... Does anyone know how this works? Is it in place yet as I can't make the Everton game.
