  1. Is the KC a very quiet ground?
  2. It's not really working. The sooner we get Mane on instead of Long, that is if he isn't injured.
  3. Putting it mildly, that wasn't a great shot.
  4. Is this level of moaning normal on match threads?
  5. Hull looking decent
  6. The natives aren't overly impressed (yet) with Mr. Lovren. http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=315702.2120
  7. Actually, and without wanting to invite the scorn from Deano06 upon myself, he isn't as bad as you might suspect.
  8. I will confess to finding that deeply troubling and embarrassing that we have so called fans that did this. Me and those around me in the middle of the Kingsland looked at each other in amazement.
  9. Tony, you may well turn out be right. But at this stage I will disagree with you. Of course I have my Saints tinted glasses on, but it is also a hope/desire that the staid and predictable top 7 can be broken. Whether it be us or someone else, PL needs it and of course I want it to be us. As for winning again, we have no problem with injuries (Mane might have a knock for this w/e), so see no reason to think we can't carry on. Of course football is unpredictable at times, but I see no reason not to currently carry on with the optimism. I certainly don't subscribe to the "we're due a loss" theory.
  10. Ultimatt, flawed logic. Flourish in mid table PL side or loan out...to who? Clubs above won't loan them in, so surely we are better than being loaned out to clubs lower than us.
  11. Sorry to be so dim, but why can't we keep winning?
  12. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9541549/paul-mersons-premier-league-predictions-round-10 Merson doesn't seem to make much sense either.
  13. Maybe it's because I am of a certain age, but I certainly would.....
  14. No idea why people take so much notice of him. It's but one opinion and I personally find him a bit last century. But if you look at what he has written, he might be right and the run has to end somewhere. But why? Why does it have to end? Is that because little old Saints can't possibly challenge at the top as that is reserved for 4 or 5 teams, which doesn't include us? Possibly, but a pundit who is paid for this sort of shït should be slightly more open minded. As for man managers, I think that Bruce probably is pretty good. But I think that if he had bothered to look behind the Saints' results this season, he might have found that Koeman might be considered to be a pretty good man manager. As I say, why worry about what he has to write?
  15. Reading more into what Hunter said, it seems that the coaches aren't paid properly. The problem with that is, if another club comes in and offers them more, they might also be off. Need to get that sorted.
  16. Lacks conviction in the box? Really? When a high ball gets sent in (like Stoke at SMS) he comes and catches it and is fairly dominant. For some reason I seem to think that AB might have punched it away. Maybe it's the physical presence of Forster that creates an illusion what with him being 10cm taller than Boruc.
  17. Agree. On paper, the 3rd best scoring record in Europe since 2012, after Messi & Ronaldo. It was a risk I guess coming from Netherlands, but early signs look good. I hate to say it about him, but I thought SRL's days might have been numbered with us, so was happy for him to get his dream move.
  18. In fairness that was I think due to them letting a goal in after 7 seconds of the 2nd half, when their midfielder came on late, was out of place and got stitched up badly to let the goal scoring chance happen.
  19. This must be one of the best ones yet..... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2814313/Graziano-Pelle-Southampton-hit-best-worst-Italian-strikers-Premier-League-history.html A cash & carry and an arid plain!!!
  20. Well at least Cortese's departure doesn't often get mentioned these days.
  21. I know the season is but young, but we are putting away some quite interesting goals. I love this one, although I know that the defender gave him too much room. Maybe I am doing a disservice to those from last season, but the two that stick out for me are the Osvaldo one, and Lallana against Newcastle.
  22. Not quite sure what Spuds are supposed to do to placate their fans. On that forum, they seem to think you can knock down a load of warehouses in the middle of London and erect a new stadium in a few months. Of course it would have been best to build the stadium while they were still at WHL, but that isn't going to happen, so no point looking back. So where else, given that their owners have cocked it up, are Spuds supposed to go? The obvious one to ground share with is Arsenal, but then that wasn't ever likely to happen. Or maybe Wembley, but that isn't going to happen either.
  23. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2813509/Tottenham-eye-Jay-Rodriguez-Mauricio-Pochettino-plans-raid-old-club-Southampton.html I would let him go after pulling down Spuds' pants and shafting them for huge bucks. While this tapping up is of course deniable as paper talk, it can work both ways. Given our somewhat more secure position than the vulnerable one we found ourselves in in the summer, we can play a lot harder. I like the figure of £20m that the Mirror quote. Fine by me. Hope JR's career is not blighted by this, but if he wants out, then I would let Spuds sweat and then bite their hand off. To me, it is nonsensical to spend that much on a player coming back from an ACL without him having much/any playing time under his belt. Wouldn't it be wiser to wait a season or at least half a season? Is this a sign of desperation? If it looks like he is going, then I would be tempted not to play him at all in case he does break down again. I can see advantages of him going and him staying, so am easy on this one. If he does go, we do need a replacement, and although I can't see it happening, Kane would be acceptable.
  24. Agree. I want us to win all games and play a strong(ish) side all the time. In the past few years I haven't bothered buying cup tickets as I never thought it worth shelling out for a half arsed effort/team selection. Clearly this season is somewhat different.
