I've been supporting Saints since before he was born so I'm not sure I am going to get my knickers in a twist.

Except I wouldn't be happy for our manager to go back to his old club and lure too many players over here, that is unless Feyernoord management are happy to do so.

Come on guys, let Charlie Boy wallow in his own negativity.

Agree. People see Saints success and wonder how it was done so try and steal individual parts, when in reality, the sum of the parts is way less than the whole. It may work out for Spurs, it may not, but in reality, how many players was he responsible for signing above and beyond what we had on the radar already?
-
Well, he's up against Domagoj Vida at CB, who plays for Dynamo Kiev ex of Dinamo Zagreb (signed for £4.4m). And then he doesn't ever play centre back for Kiev!!! Usually he is a RB but can step in at LB. Interesting....at Lyon and Saints, Lovren played as the left sided centre back. At Liverpool he is the right sided centre back. Wonder whether this little thing is causing him problems with his positional sense? At £20m you might expect him to be able to adapt, but...
-
so why bring up "he owes us nothing" then? Just spouting typical bollix
-
What's all this "he owes us nothing" bollix? We gave him a contract and stage to perform on. We as a club owe him nothing, and he "owes" us more than we do him, that is, if anyone owes anyone anything.

As was said on talksport, who would have thought that Lichtenstein, San Marino and Faroe Isles would get 7 points out of a possible 9!!
-
I got thinking this morning when doing a bit of leaf blowing.....how much is CL worth to a club, or rather how much will a club miss out on if we took a place? Surely at some stage in January (IF we are still in the mix) it will be worth going all out to take some of our players from us to try and destabilise us and ensure that we do not finish top 4. I realise that we are only 11 games in to the season.......
-
this is why the U21 seems to be getting a lot more attention these days.
-
Would prefer him to stay but....injury aside his first season returned 6 goals, last season was 15 or so. Other sales show that that form isn't automatically going to be repeated. if he wants out, let him go. Man C would be a mistake IMO.

Ooops!!!!!! Should have read all of it. Got side tracked at "guest" and didn't see that one. Was commenting on "you're here"

To "flood the local market with our outstanding beers" is going to need rather more than £25k and it would mean making **** beers. Personally am happy with my local brewery (Ringwood) or currently enjoying beers from St. Austell Brewery, rather than give my money to a barman of 10 years who thinks he knows the beer market and is going to be a local force with far too little money. Then again, maybe his local market stretches to the pub and shop at the end of his street. And then there is this....http://www.wow-brewery.co.uk/ Suppose that at least he got "you're" right instead of "your". But...good luck to him.

Greece 0-1 Faroe Islands !!! Tadic been subbed - hope that's not an injury.

Here you go - roughly speaking that is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes'_list_of_the_most_valuable_football_clubs

I imagine that there would be some gardening leave involved given his position, say 6 months if going to a competitor in the same league

Football is an entertainment business. To many (younger), you can suspend belief and imagine yourself in their shoes. To others, you do expect a certain character to be present in the entertainer. A convicted rapist doesn't sit with what people expect. Wrong person for the business. He made his bed, was found guilty by his peers and should move on to a more anonymous business or play in another country (if he could get a visa). Players & manager are representatives of the club.
-
For once, I have to agree with you (not you personally, but about the players).

Why not look at the Forbes list. There are of course various ways of measuring who is "bigger" than who. In this case, and you may or may not agree, big and rich (or rather, their value) are synonymous. I guess that is a fairly accepted way of seeing which company is bigger than another.
-
Yup. I agree. Wigan Athletic are much bigger than NUFC as they won the FA Cup a couple of years ago.
