With FFP rules, the benefits of increasing income may lead to more and more thinking of building new stands/expanding. 10k seats will bring in a POTENTIAL extra, say, £5.5m per season in ticket sales alone. What would be more useful is safe standing. Does anyone know whether this would allow more people, or are things going to be so restricted that there would be no increase in capacity? Surely that is a much more sensible way of going about things.

I don't see the infatuation with a new station. Maybe it is because I hardly ever come in by train although I did last weekend because of the warning of the non-existent extra traffic due to the boat show. To be honest, I liked it. Drive a few miles to Brockenhurst and it's 12 minutes in to Soton Central. Anyway, if there was going to be an increase in capacity, then to me there would need to be 2 things that happened. The footbridge over the railway line is already inadequate. I was told that it would have been horrendously expensive to build a bigger one - for some reason it was in the millions. Can't recall why for something seemingly so simple. A And the other thing, is the ease of exiting the stadium. I sit it row JJ and it's a ****ing nightmare getting out at the end of the game (and then you also have the queue to get over the railway). Really poor design. Should have access directly out of the stand from high up.

How many seats are wasted for the divider between home and away fans? And last season, away fans seemed often to leave large gaps. I note that there are plenty of empty seats in the Itchen Premium as well as Chapel Stand.

ON - interesting. Al, not wholly surprised, nor about DL and his attitude. What about SRL? Too slow? And CC, was there no chance of keeping him?

Simon Jones, Neil Ashton's bum chum, seems to be selling our players again: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2759181/Arsenal-s-midfield-limp-Dortmund-look-Lassana-Diarra-William-Carvalho-Lars-Bender-January.html

It's a little unfair to say AL is a 60 minute player. Look at his record over the past 2 seasons with us. In the 2012/13 season, he played 30 PL games. Before his knee injury he played 14 x 90, 1 x78 and 1 x 40 (where he was subbed due to injury). When he came back MP was manager and he only made one other 90 mins. Total of 2230 mins = average of 74 minutes In the 2013/14 season he played 38 PL games. There were 20 x 90 mins and 6 where he did 84 mins or more. 3082 minutes = average of 81 minutes

I employ a foreigner...last year he supported Man Utd, this season he supports Man City. I have offered to take him to SMS (not when it has been either Man U/C) and he always turns me down.

He's training with Boruc, learning to combat the darkness. (although soon after the video shows him training with the rest of the squad) Believe in the power of Boruc, Trust in the Koeman Revolution and may the Mayuka be with you... Irene, have you been making youtube videos????? Anyway, until Mané has a WP and is here, I think it would be folly to send him out.

Well, maybe someone at the Club does read this forum. (If you do, then FFS get Cork on a contract).

It'll be OK, as at this rate they will qualify for the Europa league.

He would look so much better without that awful beard. Just makes him look silly.

Lovren damn nearly ****ed up again. Lallana doing well, being on for 65 mins.

LOL. I might join you.

Hope all the English CL teams lose every game. Used to like following them, but now it just reinforces the inequalities in football. Interesting comment from Redkrap about FFP. He was questioning the word fair, and said is it fair that one team can spend £150m and another limited to £8m.

....Anglesey?

After just one game, admittedly against a weak NUFC, I wonder how many would swap Toby for Lovren. Toby, like Lovren last season, looked assured, composed and confident in his own abilities. Lovren this year doesn't look confident. Some of the Scousers on their boards think that he might be trying too hard rather than letting the natural game come through.
