  1. I wonder how much of this is players apportioning blame so that they can maintain the appearance of not having deserted the ship and their contracts at the first possible opportunity?
  2. To be fair though, Liam Gallagher is a **** of the highest order.

  4. I do find it interesting that the press take the direct opposite view of Koeman than you do. Some say it is PL and with no experience we are doomed. They also think we are weaker. In CB we are, but not in attack. SRL has been elevated to some ridiculous level now, and is seemingly irreplaceable. Same with AL. Guess time will tell, and today, while not being definitive will begin to show us what we can expect.
  5. 1-3 3-1 1-3 3-1 1-3 3-1 18 points. (I might have had one too many though!)
  6. Anyway, enough on this for the evening, save to say.....Artur is a good goalkeeper who I would like to keep here (I think nearly everyone would, if he had the right attitude), but he has to understand that he might not be as good as HE thinks he is.
  7. Has he thought about playing further up the pitch? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KdRr_lLQZQ
  8. Nope - I imagine planning on replacing a goalie who expects to be Nº1 but who Dave Watson (or are you saying it's Koeman, even though he has come out and said goalie is really down to the GK coach?) thinks is behind Forster and who has got stroppy. Bleacher Report puts him way down, so will be interested to see which EPL side will make him Nº1, although I imagine he will look to move on from EPL. Are you his wife?
  9. And really...he is 34 so got a few more years left. He stays, commits, tries to get between the posts, might get a reward with an extended contract, giving security. In the course of 2 or 3 seasons, he is bound to get game time. Looking around, I came across this article from last season. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1765845-premier-league-goalkeepers-a-ranking-from-best-to-worst
  10. OK. So Forster has been given the No1 jersey and Artur thinks that he will be unable to show that he is good enough to rest it back. If I might say so, if that is the case, then not a great attitude as it comes across as him thinking he is entitled to be a Nº1. Or are you saying that he has been told that he is never going to play again and that Nºs 2&3 are Kelvin & Gazza? Don't get me wrong, I would love him to stay, but the attitude is somewhat wrong.
  11. OK Irene, as you have his ear, what exactly is his objection to the situation? Does he not feel that he is good enough to be Nº1?
  12. Good. If he thinks that he is going to be stuck on the bench, then best to move him on. I want someone with a pair of balls who is going to make Nº1 his or at least try his damndest, not moan about it when someone else comes in who is considered a better option. Or is the club supposed to hold itself back for his sake?
  13. STFU you little tit. Saying something is depressing and depression are not the same thing. I don't need any lessons from you thank you especially as one my good friends/cousin had depression and shot himself a couple of months back.
  14. I find the bedwetting so depressing.
  15. Can I ask whether those who think that we are going to get relegated (or nearly so) have season tickets or actually go to any games?
  16. Was strange listening to the radio building up Man Utd - Swansea. It didn't interest me in the slightest so turned over to TMS instead.
  17. We may be stronger than last season in most places but not particularly in defence. We have lost 3, brought in 2 and brought through a 3rd. At the beginning of last season, were peoples' opinion of Lovren any different from their opinions of Gardos? Ligue 1 is a lot better than Liga 1, and Lyon have had some success in the CL while Steaua never really do that well. They got 3 draws in the group stages last year. The year prior to Lovren coming, Lyon had got knocked out in the round of 16.
  18. I guess those in bold are definite starters??? What about Ramirez and JWP? Morgan - well that's really up to him. The up roar about Cork seems a little misplaced, although it would be good to keep him. We certainly have some depth in midfield.
  19. I was doing this: http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/313390/392/team-selector and had real trouble with the midfield. Who to choose? Goalkeeper is easy - either FF or AB depending on your preference. Forwards easy as we seemingly only really have Long and Pelle. Defence fairly easy as well. But the midfield.....!
  20. Balls, that is until he take that tweet down.
  21. JWP said recently that the training wasn't as intense AND that they felt fresher going into games. Felix the Cat had the reputation of having very fit sides but one that was absolutely knackered by the time it came to game day. Maybe the players are very fit, as they were under MP, but they keep also keep their energy. Time will tell, and I am sure that if things need changing, RK will do so. It is also a learning curve for him.
  22. Forster vs Barcelona is going to be repeated 38 times this season. La Gran Muralla
  23. I liked the stat that showed he was 3 best striker in Europe after Messi & Ronaldo! It's funny, but I am less excited about him than when Osvaldo arrived. A season on, and I look at Osvaldo with nothing but contempt, and I know that Pelle will do better than him. Just wonder whether the childlike excitement has been destroyed for good by the goings on this summer?? Anyway, one thing is for sure is that he will try a lot harder than Osvaldo. He has been over looked by Italy since U21, where he didn't score in 11 games, and he has now earned a move to a big stage. If he can perform here, then who knows what will happen to his international career? Just hope that thoughts of him being a late bloomer are true and that the Feyenoord ratio can be kept going. That would make me happy in a very childlike manner.
  24. Reminds me when I lived in France and bought a new pair of boots that I couldn't get off, the evening I was with a young(ish) mademoiselle....................Ooops. Might have gone off on a tangent!
  25. So CB options are looking like Vlaar, VVD and Wollscheid. Vlaar would be good tactically as it would seriously hurt Villa but he is getting on in age (29). Wolls might be good as a loan + option to buy and at 24 a good age. Don't know much about him or VVD, who is 23.
