Total Hoofball - totally boring. No passion or desire from the players and that needed to come from the manager.
-
Wasn't there some talk a season or two ago about us taking him on loan?
-
I'm not too bothered about the result, really. All I hope for is an entertaining game played in the right spirit.

Wait until you're older, you might feel differently then. All sort of people go to watch football for all sorts of reasons and the world is a better place because of it. Surely we can find room to accommodate everbody (especially at St. Mary's).

We could be looking at gates of 8-10,000 next season.

Isn't Birmingham in the Black Country then? -
I thought that it changed the whole shape of our team. We were a complete mess just before they scored. There were players out of position which lead to misplaced passes and poor defensive midfield cover. Their fellow who put in the ball that Davies scored from was under no pressure at all. We had lost any width that we had before and we had reverted to playing schoolboy football. Also what I didn't see last night was the defending from the front that was so evident against Cardiff and Preston.

Lowe must fall on his sword. With Wotte I think it depends on how we go down. We've had a couple of good results but I've also seen some worrying decisions.

I hate it when people around me stand and sing...... .... it keeps me awake.

Or lend it to another stable.

I think he had time to take a touch first. At least he should have 'hit the target'
-
I would say that the horse is geed up and ready to go and is halfway out of the door.
-
ok, I''ll take Rasiak or John instead.
-
We can blame him for the substitution that changed our formation, presumably?
-
But having Saga might have given us an extra 10 points. So that's 10 points dropped, either way.
-
Totally agree. Just before they scored I said that we had completely lost our shape. I'm not impressed by this manager. And wtf was that substitution in injury time supposed to achieve?

Then why do they all talk like that? -
I've just had a quick look and amazingly it could be true! West Ham would have 69 points and there aren't many games left between the teams at present at the top where Man U have 65. Of course the other teams aren't all going to lose all their games but with a freak set of results it could be possible. Am I sad, or what?

The short sightedness in loaning out players.

Didn't he mean when WGS was in charge? -
Surely no true gentleman would ever do such a thing. It's tempting though, isn't it?

Despite our good form relegation is still likely

Talking about our 'Mick', I was in Winchester one lunchtime a couple of weeks ago when I overheard a young couple walking behind me. '...and apparently it was Mick Channon.' said the lad. 'Who's he?', said the girl. 'Dunno' said the lad. It makes you cry, doesn't it? Don't they teach 'em anything in school these days? -

Then perhaps it's just as well that I'm not a betting man. It's bad enough running a business these days without relying on luck in order to make a living. -

No, but they are still on the books as expensive assets which are depreciating. -
No, it was him: But Berkovic said: "Every player is ambitious and wants a very big club. I'm happy at West Ham and moved there because they are bigger than Southampton, but there are five or six in England still bigger. "You never know, but if I play well for the next two to three years I might get the chance to go to an even bigger club." (October 1997) I get confused sometimes (apparently). So many players have left us for a 'bigger club'.

Thanks for the clarification. Perhaps I was thinking of Hassan Kachloul?

Agreed. Why buy them in the first place if we're not going to play them?
