  2. I'm with you on this.
  3. I'm relaxed about it all. I was relaxed all through the second half. I told my grandson to remember and cherish the feeling of being a goal up in an important game at Wembley against arrogant opponents with a huge sense of entitlement and to savour every moment. I never felt that Leeds would score but any team can fluke a goal at any time and from where we were sitting that Dan James shot seemed to be heading into goal. To me the Leeds players seemed to be too tensed up and as the game went on were making silly little mistakes. The final whistle came as a bit of a shock to me as I was expecting another minute of added time and the realisation set in as to what we had achieved. We've been in the Premier League long enough to know what to expect and do. It was a combination of bad decisions that saw us relegated but with the retention of important players and some sensible additions we should be ok. I watched the recording yesterday evening and what impressed me was the coherence of our defence and midfield. One commanding cohort of players working for each other who kept their shape and stifled any threats. The benefit of a settled team and supreme confidence.
  4. I travelled up with my grandson and his friend who was a Leeds supporter and had bought a ticket in our end on the basis of having bought a couple of tickets at St Mary's. He was sitting across from us in a different section and wore plain clothes. We were not too harsh on him afterwards. As I left them on the train I shook his hand and said "We must do this again next year"

  6. ABK was at the game today and posted a picture.
  7. Itused to be the case that the two playoff teams came to an agreement that the losers got all the proceeds from the finalbecause the winning team gains so much.
  8. Doesn’t surprise me.if you go round in circles you end up back where you started. I would be very cautious about describing anything as facts. Always examine the source data. And then check it again. And again.
  9. People who spray champagne around as a celebration.
  10. And, to be fair, the coroner ruled that it was suicide.
  11. You’re right, we didn’t. Maybe if our football had been less boring or crap we would have scored more.
  12. Somewhat surprisingly I’m ambivalent about a Saints game for possibly the first time ever. I’d like us to win but I’m not sure I want the prize that goes with it.
  13. It’s a long time since I was please to see a Man Utd win. In fact, probably the first time ever.
  14. Let’s just say that defensively we haven’t improved.
  15. My garden needs lots of attention.
  16. About the width of 10 toilet rolls, five on either side. The lines themselves are about the same width as a toilet roll.
  17. Elland Road and St Mary's are exactly the same at 105 x 68 metres. Wembley is 105 x 69. Only a lick of paint in it.
  18. And this is why such so-called statistics are highly subjective and therefore meaningless. Look, I have no problem with anybody having their own opinions on the quality of any player but for goodness sake please don’t try to use concocted figures to justify your opinion.
  19. We shall see.
  20. And you think that difference is down to the keeper and has nothing to do with the defence in front of him?
