I don’t think it was a mistake in that there was a general air of expectation that fans would be back in some form by October. But now, I agree, I can’t see this happening before next spring if at all.

You are very unlikely to contract the virus out in the open air. Indoors, long exposure, poor ventilation That’s what you need to avoid.

Good idea. Shame we won’t be able to spend the money

I've had wounds that weeped too.

https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/topic/58355-villa-3-4-saints/page/5/?tab=comments#comment-2852629 I am having seeing pictures on this thread. Desktop PC, Windows 10pro, Chrome browser. What should be a picture is just neutral faint grey background. When I came to post a reply with a quote of a post containing a picture then the picture loaded ok. Good luck Steve.

I completely agree. In the Salah incident he even had time to plant his foot back on the ground before doing a swallow dive. Was he touched? Yeah, so what. Was he tripped? Never in a million years. That Grealish dive was ludicrous and the referee was in a very poor position to see it.

I disagree about interfering. Adams was at the far post and not interfering with any defender or anybody's line of sight. Liverpool and others have had siimilar instances overlooked. If Adams had touched the ball then he would have been offside A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by: interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or interfering with an opponent by: preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or challenging an opponent for the ball or clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball

I don’t think that Adams touched the ball.

Oops. That should have been 12,000 deaths a week, not per day. 😬
-
Ta muchly What was their penalty given for?
-
Thanks, but have you taken into account my physical condition?
-
That’s extra cancer deaths every day over a period of several years. Life is a terminal condition and people die every day. At this time of year it is typically 12,000 a day rising to 15,000 in January. These Covid deaths are not on top of these figures, they are part of them in that people will die of Covid instead of something else. The average age of someone dying in the UK from Covid is over 82. I am 71 now and I would like to get some more living of life under my belt in the next few years.

I have both Sky and BT Sports through my Virgin Media subscription so I can watch all the basic schedule of games yet I am not really interested in the teams from the top 6. Why therefore can’t I forego a match involving Liverpool, say, and have a free viewing of Saints instead? that should be straightforward to arrange.

There are a lot of injuries in training and international meetings.
-
I’ve lost a few close friends and associates over the past few months. Heart attack, aneurysm, brain tumour, brain tumour. There were around 450 daily deaths from cancer over the past year. With the halt on treatments that will at least double in the future.
-
Daily deaths are around usual for this time of year.

Yeah, it’s all about ‘protect the NHS’. It’s supposed to be the NHS that protects us. You won’t ever get herd immunity by repetitive lockdowns. How long will it take to get 30m or 40m infected? Relying on a vaccine is asking to be disappointed. Lockdowns are killing the country.

Closing everything won’t work either. You can’t control this virus. You just have to let it burn out. They’re acting like those primitive societies that thought that human sacrifices were the answer to everything. When they didn’t work the answer was even more sacrIfices.

The One True Bond

Sheff Utd seemed determined to keep it down to 1-0. Any time they had a chance to get the ball into the box they passed it backwards
-
That’s why they’re in favour of it of course.

The idiots are all in the government.
-
It’s not a proper ball unless it’s got laces that stick out.

Nobby Stiles has passed away at the age of 78. He was the seventh member of the 1966 team that we have lost.

Sell him? If he turns out that good HMDAJFU.
