  1. Boxing Day trains stopped in the early 1960s.
  2. I don't think even West Ham would want him.
  3. I've just spent a fruitful few minutes digging all the fluff out of the earphone socket on my Iphone.
  4. Most of it is in one eye and out the other but occasionally, just occasionally, there are some sparkling jewels of wit and insight that make all the lonely hours worthwhile. If it ever happens I'll be the first to let you know
  5. I've been given a couple of leaflets by Hampshire County Council to distribute among the staff today about how long after drinking it's safe to drive: http://www.morning-after.org.uk/index.html
  6. That's what the 5 minutes are for.
  7. Oops, sorry PAP mate, my eyesight's not what it was. We did this to one of my colleagues (i.e. workers) once and it took him a little while to work out what was going on. Also he hated YMCA (the song by the Village people, not the institution) so we replaced all his sound files with the same sample of the song so whatever he clicked he heard the opening words of the song. Also next time you're in PC World and see a desktop type Ctrl-A, Enter and walk away purposefully. Does anybody actually read everything that everybody else writes? Surely that's bordering on the obsessive These people must spend all day sitting on ths forum. Not me! I've got lots of really interesting things to do.
  8. Use PrtScrn to set a copy of the current desktop as your wallpaper. Then move all the icons somewhere else. (Do not try this at home)
  9. Agreed. How can we let them know?
  10. Ipad. There's only so much you can type with one finger. My point is that you cannot use our reasoning to argue and debate with someone who has been brought up to see the world from a different perspective. This doesn't make their philosophy any less valid, it just operates in a different dimension. My point was meant to refer to the argument that the hostility to the West was intensified by the actions of the West. Some people don't need any justification. It has been this way for centuries.
  11. Let's just say that they don't need a reason to justify their actions. The Arabic world is not systematic like the West.
  12. So he was banging a wormhole? Respect.
  13. These people don't use Western logic.
  14. Thanks, I was there! Was it really 20 years ago? Seeing Le Tiss again makes me very tearful, will we ever see his like again?
  15. You can blame who you like for their second goal but between the lot of them they should have dealt with it. It seemed to me that they all left it for each other.
  16. Thanks, I've updated my calendar. Can they get knocked out of it by then? (We can always hope)
  17. I, for one, am grateful for your contribution. If it were worth doing them somebody would be on the case already. As for selling out, I would argue that we have effectively already done that several times this season. It all depends on what you mean by 'sell-out', if you're expecting every single seat to have a bum on it then you're going to be disappointed because when it gets to the last few hundred single seats they are difficult to shift.
  18. Even fewer think seriously But you're quite right about this. It is a sad fact about modern society that many people let others do their thinking for them.
  19. Yes, contact is irrelevant. The wording is "strike or attempt to strike" and there was definitely intent in his actions. He might well have caught his opponent in the eye, not very nice

I think it's more a matter of disturbing their concentration.

    Mane

Or even more intelligent to realise that they were both at fault. As I pointed out in the match thread, there were a lot of blind passes on Monday night, José's being the worst.
  22. And you believe all that?
  23. Time to bring this up again:
  24. Nobody would ever confirm or deny that information was extracted.
  25. No problem, we'll be top 4 by then ITV are really crap on football, though.
