  1. I counted 3
  2. Clearly some other clubs do, and 3 occasions is a high proportion of the away games that I have attended.
  3. Sorry, is that 'not every other club does' or 'no other club does'?
  4. That line of stewards wouldn't have held a rush by us Saints fans if we hadn't been so self-controlled. It could have gone very wrong. What would have been better is to keep those Derby yobs away from us in the first place. Or they could have done what we do which is to have a separate area outside for away fans where we could have got on our coaches and crept quietly away into the night. They would have been too busy staying behind to salute their team.
  5. In my experience it's not every other club that doesn't (hasn't). The Derby game was particularly galling. We were made to stand there whilst the locals ran on the field up to our end and started mouthing it off. Not very clever policing, I thought.
  6. It might have been. I have only been to Cardiff once, at the old Ninian Park for a midweek evening game. I have no idea why they kept us back.
  7. So, what's your point?
  8. Derby was in the play-off semi-final. Cardiff was when I went there.
  9. And Cardiff, and Derby...
  10. I seem to remember that when we played Pompey I was kept behind for an hour yet when they came to us...
  11. Oh, I thought it was 100% were correct 60% of the time?
  12. Or do what every other club seems to do and keep the away fans in for a while to let the home fans disperse.
  13. Someone's got to be first. To be honest, I never notice who it is, but there again, I'm not obsessive.
  14. Forster wasn't to blame for the second.
  15. I park at Bitterne and walk in. There are several signs that I pass and when not in use they normally say something like "next stadium event..." Which gives you some pre-warning. On one occasion I saw a couple of traffic wardens scratching their heads because it was one of this matches with a silly kick-off time and somebody had put the wrong times on the notice. The wardens admitted that there was nothing they could do.
  16. The pole's on the right. We're looking at the backside
  17. A team full of internationals, B+ or not. The table never lies.
  18. He seems to have put on a bit of weight.
  19. And penalties.
  20. Ah. Thanks for the clarification.
  21. Shouldn't that be 'Newshump'?
  22. I was looking at those sort of times. I'll check again
  23. I was looking with a Senior Railcard and it was over £30 one-way from Liverpool Street on a flexible ticket.
  24. I was watching them very closely for the second incident. The ref wasn't going to give the foul but the assistant looked across at the ref and then decided to flag for a foul. He didn't put the flag across his chest to indicate a penalty, but he looked back at the ref to see what he wanted to do, possibly to indicate that he was uncertain as to the exact location. This was one of those ooccasions where it may have started in the box but ended outside. In these instances where the ref hasn't given it but the assistant has then it is extremely unlikely that the ref will overrule him, which is why I called this a compromise decision, free kick outside the box.
