  1. We're converting assets into cash. That's not stripping unless the cash is withdrawn.
  2. Yes, that's true, but well have to give it a month to see the full picture. We've only had 3 out so far and probably Lovren too so we can't include the possible outs and discount the possible ins.
  3. Yes, and so is cash. It certainly isn't asset-stripping if the assets (of all types) remain in the business. Having said that, you can't play football with a bundle of cash so we should expect to see some of that cash converted into players. Let's not forget that we've made a whopping profit in our book values and there will be a big lot of corporation tax to pay if we're not careful. Perhaps we can offload Osvaldo at a hefty loss, who knows, in a convoluted world maybe that's why we bought him?

  5. That's a blow-up doll, surely?
  6. I think he'll stay, but I know nothing and nor does anybody else.
  7. Man Utd have done it several times.
  8. Exactly this. Why panic now when you can panic later, if you have too. We are undergoing an almighty reconstruction and we've only just started.
  9. This makes no sense, if true.
  10. I know I shouldn't, but...
  11. When I looked into this a couple of years ago an evening train was less than £4 single from Southampton Central with a railcard. Every hour, just a few minutes over two hours. Southern Trains mind, not South West Trains via Waterloo/Clapham Junction which is quicker but more expensive.
  12. Possession didn't seem to get us anywhere though. I got sick of being regularly mugged by teams who just ran down our end and scored.
  13. Thanks for taking the trouble but I can't really follow those links at the moment as I'm on my phone. All I remember is a lot of faffing about outside the box and taking an eternity to work a position.
  14. You're lucky, I'm typing on an iPhone in our caravan in the middle of France.
  15. Yes, debt was converted into equity, but nobody genuinely knows what's happening at SFC regards dividends, if any.
  16. 'None of us haven't' Sorry, that's a bit petty of me at this time of night.
  17. I didn't think we did?
  18. What shareholder loans? My understanding was that we are not structured that way.
  19. Double negatives aside, I agree, this would be great business but it's not asset-stripping.
  20. A manager is not necessarily consulted about these things, although it would probably be wise especially as he's only just started the job!
  21. Yet good enough for the World Cup finals.
  22. You don't understand valuations and the way companies work. She can't just take out a big bag of money, all that is happening at the moment us that we have converted some assets into liquid cash, the value is essentially unchanged, perhaps higher than it was because we have received unexpected/unrealistic prices for these assets.
  23. Maybe the payment terms are better, all up front, for example?
  24. Cash in the bank or players who can be sold, the value of the club is the same.
  25. It's just a garage clearance. New manager, new team. Last year's is so, well, so last year.
