I love to see him play. He floats over the ground and glides past challenges. The only problem is that the style of play has to have a slight adjustment to accommodate him.

...or nip down the dockyard for a quick shufti.

We've been to the Maldives a couple of times. The first time we landed straight in on a northerly approach but on the second we flew quite a way to the south and then turned left and flew low over the islands and landed on the northbound approach. The path was very similar to that shown.

Yes, the RAF go at 50ft, which is not a problem since the highest land is 2.4 metres above sea level, but which radar was avoided? I doubt there's much in the way of radar coverage away from Malé. Wasn't the reported sighting in one of the southern islands? The whole country covers 35,000 square miles.
-
If it was MH370 then it would have had to have landed and refuelled in the meantime and there's no way you could hide a commercial jet from radar, but the Maldives cover a very large area so radar coverage is limited.
-
I don't think that's the point. If they say there's nothing in it then there's not much more you can do. I'm sure you're right.
-
I think they asked the Maldives government and when they were told that there was nothing in it they respectfully accepted the answer and moved on. Diplomatically they can hardly say that they don't believe them and insist on sending their own investigators in.
-
Yes indeed, a very smart piece of work. You can hardly blame them for investigating every possible sighting though.

There's 'f*** you money' and then there's 'f*** the lot of you money'. -
What about ST holders with no away games so far, can they buy tomorrow?

Ok, thanks.

Perth is the same time as Malaysia and the plane is assumed to have travelled south and quite a bit west, maybe an hour or so earlier. The last partial presumed contact was 08:19 Malaysian time and sunrise in Perth was 06:11 that day so possibly around dawn, maybe just after.

There are portable respirators, they have to have them so that they can go along the cabin checking the passengers. However, we're probably getting into a bit too much detail here. Let's wait and see.
-
The cabin crew also have bottles (20 minutes?) so he would have to outlast them, or have his own extra supply.
-
How could he survive and not the rest? The crew all had access to the same oxygen as he did.
-
Er... They haven't dodged tax, they're still paying it.

Would you change positons with Sunderland?

Aren't you too being selective? Some would like us to go for the cup games as well. I don't think anyone is saying that we shouldn't bother in the League. -
I would concede that it's not entirely impossible but extremely unlikely in the dark and I would have thought that it would need to be under control at the time. If manual control the why no contact, unless it was a deliberate act, but why fly all that way and then try to survive. In these circumstances surely others aboard would have been able to evacuate. Perhaps the pros could tell us whether the escape chutes/flotation rafts have EPIRB locators?

In my case I think the concrete would come off worse.

Coral or water, it's much the same at that speed. Edit: One more factor... Was it still dark at the time of the ditching, if that's what happened?

Condolences for Jay, but lets talk replacements

He might be back in training by then but that will probably be a third of the way through the season. -
No, the wing digs in and slews the plane to the left. The engines are designed to shear off on impact. At that speed the water is virtually solid. The Hudson landing was nothing short of miraculous.

We need two top-quality forwards to see us through to next year at least. This is business. -
No wreckage yet found.
