  1. It looked a straightforward challenge to me. I had a good view of it down to my right and Lovren blocked the ball which ricocheted between them and his follow-through caught Long. The assistant flagged for the foul and Webb thought it worth a yellow somehow.
  2. Good luck mate, my heart attack was a minor one but at least you had the right treatment on hand. See you back soon!
  3. I'm sitting here watching Pacific Rim in 3D with my son and four grandchildren. I can't follow the plot but that doesn't matter.
  4. 3 points Clean sheet thanks to Boruc 1-0 thanks to Gastón and Adam 2 minute cameo from Guly What's not to like?
  5. I agree.
  6. Not by me. He wasn't great but he was a solid pro.
  7. Well said SIP. There's been a deliberate campaign for some time to try to get pensions redefined as benefits.
  8. Penalty on JWP, innit.
  9. My daughter was mad keen on Saints and would still go if she didn't live 100 miles away with three small children. She used to come to all the away games with me as well. Happy days.
  10. Not real chocolate though, is it?
  11. Victoria and David Beckham named their son Brooklyn after the place where he was conceived. At least that's what my neighbour Back Of A Ford Cortina Johnson tells me.
  12. My son is 40 and my daughter is 37 and they have seven children between them. We are still bailing them out at all times of the day and night. That's what mums and dads are for. I came upon this quote some time ago and I still can't find who first said it: "By the time I realised that my dad was right I had a son telling me that I was wrong"
  13. That reminds me of the way to tell a biscuit from a cake. Cakes go hard when stale but biscuits go soft. Unless you cover them in chocolate.
  14. When was the actual date that Club biscuits stopped having thick chocolate and just became ordinary?
  15. Since I've had to cut down drastically on sugar in the last couple of years I find that anything sweet is too sickly for me. Fruit sugar I adore but I have to be strictly rationed, so no, I don't actually like shortbread now. Dark chocolate is ok though
  16. I'm too old and grey for all that. You and I have different opinions and see things from a different viewpoint. It's a good thing we're all different.
  17. I don't think that's the case. I would think that most unconnected people would conclude that there was more to it than what has been suggested and that Clattenburg will have a little question mark hanging over him from now on. In fact, they probably won't give a toss.
  18. The situation was a lot more complicated that whether or not he saw a gun. Even a witness on a ninth floor flat way across the road saw him holding something which he was convinced was a mobile phone whereas the copper thought he saw a hand holding a sock with a gun inside. It's not surprising that in a very tense situation like this the statements are vary somewhat. It's when the police statements are all the same that you should get suspicious.
  19. I would say that the officer had strong reason to believe that Duggan was carrying a gun, or at least had access to one. It's clear from the officer's evidence that he was convinced that Duggan had a gun in his hand.
  20. Has he signed yet?
  21. I think that's a fair summary. There was an interesting point today in The Mail (I know) that in the last four years the police have shot and killed one person and gangsters have shot and killed 50.
  22. He was very poor against Aston Villa.
  23. But he had at least one gun? Even if he threw it away as he got out of the car, he may have had another one.
