  1. That's a very convoluted argument. There are companies who can't afford to pay any more and aren't making any profits. Anyway, how does this differ from raising personal allowances in order to take the lower paid out of taxation?
  2. I'm not sure if I ever saw him play, and I've got a season ticket. Was he in an early round of the League Cup this season?
  3. Er... the companies don't actually receive anything.
  4. It's just a reminder, lest they forget...
  5. It wouldn't surprise me. Let's just fine everybody £10 who wants to come into the city, shall we? That'll stop the bastards.
  6. Yes, it look s right dog's dinner. The safest way is to separate cyclists and traffic completely and you'd think it would be possible with the multi-level road surfaces.
  7. Alexandra Bastedo... There's another of my fantasies gone http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mandrake/10569649/Will-Omar-Sharif-attend-Alexandra-Bastedos-funeral.html http://www.chichester.co.uk/what-s-on/culture/tv-and-animal-champion-alexandra-bastedo-dies-of-cancer-1-5803170
  8. What, being German? There was definitely a two-year gap between births across a very large number of mothers. What are the other suggested causes? Edit: I've just had a quick look: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/contraception-guide/Pages/natural-family-planning.aspx Lactational amenorrhoea method (LAM) Women don't have periods while they're breastfeeding (this is known as lactational amenorrhoea), so breastfeeding can be used as a form of contraception. This is known as the lactational amenorrhoea method (LAM). Not to be recommended as a reliable method, mind you.
  9. Doing my family history research it was obvious that women would have a baby every two years until they got to their late thirties. Whilst they were breast-feeding they didn't get pregnant again. Death rate amongst children was typically 1 in 2 in the cities and 1 in 3 in the country. 10 to 12 children was common, except for my wife's great-grandmother who was German and used a piece of sponge on the end of a string (don't try this at home). She only had two children.
  10. With those new lights parking in Woolston and walking over will probably be quicker.
  11. No, I suppose not. It's all this business about being in an offside position or being offside. Never mind, they didn't score, we won, match over
  12. Unbelievable! And very moving. Thanks.
  13. That's ok. I need several months.
  14. Of course companies make profits. If they didn't they wouldn't last long.
  15. Still not working, message reads: Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist. - See more at: http://sorrelish.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/7-reasons-why-you-should-stop-*****ing.html#sthash.49lBGt45.dpuf Probably because of the asterisks.
  16. That would still make those products and services more expensive and possibly unaffordable.
  17. There were plenty of youngsters there for the Burnley game in the centre Kingsland. I don't remember any bad language from them or the adults.
  18. What's not to like?
  19. OOps, I meant to put coal instead of oil. I blame predictive text on my ipad, even if it was my fault. Even so, 25% less than oil is a very big saving. What's the difference between the carbon sinks and sources these days? I seem to remember several years ago it was only a few percent. Anyway, CO2 is not the most important greejhouse gas.
  20. Doesn't work for me
  21. Yeah, and parking meters were supposed to pay for extra off-street parking.
  22. It's not an extra day, it's a renaming of one we get already.
