  1. We need him for Saturday.
  2. Add up all that unemployment benefit and you won't have enough to pay for many houses. We need to make things to sell.
  3. Ref had no choice.blame FIFA if you like but he was only doing as directed. If he hadn't he'd have had a bollicking.
  4. He is what he is. It's not his fault that he's not very good.
  5. Whichever way you look at it, letting in four goals is not going to get us anywhere.
  6. We knew that last summer.
  7. It takes large amounts of money out of the economy and all you get are a load of houses and a host of other associated problems. These houses all have to be heated, watered, drained, and connected to the transport system. The basic problem is that there are too many people in the country and the demand is steadily increasing. We need trade in order to pay our way and we can't export houses.
  8. Girlfriend or burglar he definitely intended to kill somebody.
  9. On one hand you advocate building houses and on the other complain about a property boom. Houses are the last place we should be putting what little money we have available for investment.
  10. 'Laced with nourishing rum... ...flavour.'
  11. Five Boys chocolate bar.
  12. Your sense of smell, and therefore taste, changes at puberty so if you still like the same things it may mean that you haven't grown up.
  13. When I called them recently I think it was the Philippines, but they were ok and spoke good English. I'm in Chandlers Ford and get very good speeds. I've now got three Tivo boxes so I can watch the footy in the conservatory or the bedroom when she's watching Coronation Street.
  14. Let's just take it one cliché at a time.
  15. Reminds me of the Newcastle game at the Dell, 3-1 was it?
  16. Sometimes life just sucks.
  17. If it's not part of the national curriculum then it should be.
  18. I dunno. Seems fair to me.
  19. It seems that alternate Windows operating systems are rubbish.
  20. But what if playing on involves the other team scoring a legitimate goal (or two)?
  21. I'm told that Windows 8 is even worse.
  22. Were they really not sure what 'reasonable doubt' was? Sometimes I despair for the future of this country.
  23. Judging by the drivel that gets spouted on MOTD I doubt that anybody would be satisfied. The majority of these so-called mistakes are nothing of the sort, and one team's loss is another's gain. Football is an imprecise sport played by a load of softies with a big soft ball on a rough patch of grass with white lines painted on it. There never will be 100% accuracy and in many cases the decision is never black and white but a matter of opinion and I prefer an independent official to a load of nerds in a tv studio. I find this blind faith in technology disturbing.
  24. I treat them all with equal disdain. I have around 20 Windows-based machines in my business and two Windows and one Macbook that I use at home. It's not the writes to disk that slow the Windows down. I have just replaced my main desk PC with one running Windows 7 and it's taken me a week to start to get the setup near to something that I can use productively. What has struck me is how similar the look and feel is to Mac OS. Previously I had been using XP which started off ok but just got slower and slower with all the bloatware and updates that gets produced these days. I find it impossible with Windows to clean out all the rubbish, there's always something that gets left behind and clogs up the arteries. My XP laptop at home used to be no trouble at all to use but now you have to turn it on the day before you want to use it. It reminds me of my childhood where radios used to take 20 seconds to warm up. I thought that was a long time.
