  1. I've still got my original equipment (no jokes please) and occasionally I get to use it. You forget what a pain it was to have to keep getting up to change the record every 25 minutes. I have the complete set of Wagner's Ring cycle by Decca and after listening to that you're exhausted.
  2. Why, thank you sir! It gets even better than that... http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2010/12/why-asparagus-makes-pee-smell/ One post-apocalyptic day all these genetic anomalies may actually come in useful, they might even save the human race although would you want a planet of people like me? Even the girly-looking ones?
  3. I can't stand the taste of broccoli, nor sprouts, but maybe I have some special genes? http://brokensecrets.com/2010/10/01/some-people-are-genetically-predisposed-to-dislike-broccoli/
  4. Does it guarantee a win when compared to other seats?
  5. Why should any player renegotiate his payments to a lower level when presumably he is guaranteed them from the football creditors rule? The only reason any of them would accept deferral which again is covered by the same rule.
  6. I blame the parents. I always do.
  7. My pleasure. I have a competitor who has wound up his company at leat twice owing hundreds of thousands and he is still trading in the same business, offering 5-year warranties that are worth nothing.
  8. The clubs in League 1 (and 2) operate on totally different budgets to the Premier League and even the Championship so I would expect there to be some very strong 'reminders' to the Football League Board about having an unfair advantage, level playing field, integrity of the competition, all that sort of thing. The point is that the Footbal League operates on behalf of its members, it is not an independent body.
  9. It's not just the League though, all the other clubs have a big say in what will happen.
  10. I know someone who had their house exorcised, but then it was reposessed.
  11. 'two successive seasons or 18 consecutive months' according to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administration_(British_football)#cite_note-Wrexham-13 Which references: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/4064257.stm
  12. Or start a second successive season in administration?
  13. He might have been stacking shelves.
  14. Anywhere they want to.
  15. No danger for me. I couldn't even climb up there.
  16. Yes, one should be a bit circumspect about these things, even though they would be well-known locally and a part of the community.
  17. I have consulted... It is the `big one that is being gutted and refurbished directly opposite Thornden School. Or it might be the bungalow in Hocombe Road that has been rebuilt with big glass windows at the entrance' It's one of those two, apparently.
  18. I will have to consult my source!
  19. I can confirm that that is the local rumour. This has been going around for some time but I didn't think it was worth mentioning.
  20. Good job too. I don't think I could face another promotion next year.
  21. Blimey! I know this is Pompey we're talking about and they deserve all that's coming to them but that's a bit harsh.
  22. If they do get independence, does that mean we'll lose all those Labour MPs and never have a Labour government again?
