Oh dear. If we win they'll have to go there every week.

Have you heard anyone in media / football saying Adkins should go?
Whitey Grandad replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
I expect that anyone connected with any other Premiership club would want him to stay. -
No. HTH

My head hurts. So if 50% of the teams who were bottom have stayed up, 50% must have gone down. Does that only leave 3% for the other two teams?

Look at Bournemouth for inspiration...

Isn't it two? They have changed and have improved. We haven't changed.... -
We went to the cemetery at Colleville on a Sunday a few years ago and I was surprised to see how many French families were quietly and respectfully walking amongst the headstones. I was in Paris for the 50th anniversary of D-Day and all the bars were decorated with French, American and British flags and all the French that I met were very appreciative of what had been sacrificed to liberate them. I met an American there who had been an eighteen-year old coxswain on a landing craft at Omaha beach, and Slapton Sands and Guadalcanal. Quite a character.

Bolton at the Dell with loads of fans locked out. Barry Horne's screamer right into the goal I was standing behind.

We could be playing them next season. -

So, could it be that with our squad we should be top of the table? -
Well something has to change, either the manage or the way we play.

They may be winless but they're both above us in the table and they don't leak as many goals.

This is all about Nigel. The only question that matters is whether any replacement would get a marked change in form and fortunes. He has done his job by getting us here, now all that matters is how we move on up. If the management of the club think that he is the man for the long term then they should say so and stick with him. If not, then get someone else in sharpish before it's too late. Sentiment is so last season. (What's that song - 'We're only making plans for Nigel?')

My initial thought is.... so what?
-
I've never really been impressed by him. Ray Wilkins without the tackles and goals.

... for the time being. Cortese is not stupid and will almost certainly have been asking tentatively around. Any chairman of a multi-million business would do the same. I desperately hope for a win on Saturday but not for Nigel's sake.

We don't need to drop out of the League, just tell the players not to bother fighting for any balls, to shirk every tackle, not bother defending, not cover back. Nobody would notice, surely?

Brilliant! Where can I buy a miniature for my mantlepiece?

Your Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan
Whitey Grandad replied to SuperMikey's topic in The Muppet Show
The best place to hide a book is in a library. Put on your zombie makeup and go to Swindon. Nobody (dead or alive) will ever find you. -
Just do a Leeds and play all the also-rans.

To be honest, I was not too hopeful for this season once the window had been shut and I have been resigned to relegation for some time now. Now that we have reached this situation it would need a big turn round in performances to drag ourselves up the table and I can see no sign of that happening with the current set-up. The question then is whether replacing Nigel will achieve enough improvement in performances to rescue us from this predicament and that depends on who replaces him. It won't be pretty but anyone who can tighten up the defence and get back to clean sheets or no more than one goal against might stand a chance. Any takers?

That's what the commentators were saying on Sky. He got away with it though, didn't he?
