For as long as I can remember, when you looked at the two sides, you were struggling to find many English players who would get in to the Australian side. Now on current form you be struggling to find Aussies who would get in the England side. Hussey maybe but I can't really see anyone else.

Harsh or not, we can't afford to carry players that we can never get out on the the football pitch. We've been through it before with Svensson and Pahars (both great players for us but useless in their final couple of seasons).

It's been snowing on and off for a week up here and with temperatures hardly getting to freezing, only melting on gritted roads (which are only the main ones). Had to dig the car out of the drive, three days running and beached it today.

If I remember correctly it absolutely teamed with rain before and during the 1976 game. I remember standing directly behind the goal, near the wall in the Milton, standing water coming over my adidas trainers and being completely soaked to the skin (Ah, the magic of the cup!!). We won 3-1 but I don't really remember much about the actual game.

Quite pleased with that draw TBH. Blackpool are a decent team doing much better in the Prem than anyone expected but it's a winnable tie for us, especially at home. A bit of added spice if they play Ormerod, Euell and Crainey!!
